The castles. The cliffs. The coastlines. The energy.
Have I convinced you to finally go?
If Scotland's on your list of must-see place, here’s a few things you need to know:
✔️ Driving is part of the experience: Some of the most beautiful spots aren't reachable without a car. And yes, you drive on the left, but it’s easier than it sounds once you’re out of the cities. Alternatively, we can always hire a driver for you.
✔️ Timing matters. Late spring and early fall usually mean better weather and smaller crowds. Peak summer? Gorgeous, but you’ll want to book hotels and castle stays WAY ahead. Just like my client who has already booked her trip for May 2026.
✔️ Smaller towns are the real heart of Scotland. It’s tempting to stay in Edinburgh the whole time (and it’s amazing), but the Scotland you're imagining is in places like Pitlochry, Oban, and the Isle of Skye.
✔️ Castle hotels and cozy inns fill up FAST. If waking up in a real castle or a Highland lodge is on your wishlist, you'll want to lock it in as soon as you decide you're going, especially in summer and fall.
Planning a trip to Scotland is a decision you'll never regret.
And it’s even better when we plan it together with the help of my partners in Scotland.
