👋🏻 HELLO 👋🏻 it has been a while since we’ve introduced ourselves 🤩 We are Cherisse and Scott, the owners/ your hosts of Bayshore Beach Lodge NJ. I (Cherisse) grew up in NJ going ‘down the shore’ and always dreamed of having a home here. I got Scott hooked on the Jersey Shore after visiting every summer we lived in Manhattan. It was our 17th and last summer in NYC when we took the to Highlands and we were instantly hooked.

Our initial “WHY” for short term renting was to help with expenses but hosting has become more than I ever imagined. Having visited the shore all my life, I know exactly what guests want out of their stay. I give them that PLUS + . We consider everything from guests’ safety, to cleanliness to the design and function of our home to ensure guests’ 5 Star Stay.

Our design philosphy - - blends the beauty of the Bayshore without going overboard ⚓️ on beach kitsch - pun intended ⚓️

We even incorporated some of our own art into our design. Scott hand painted (free style) the ☀️ murals in the Loft, and the ‘Twin’ room has our photography plus other local artists’ work Our Starfish Logo is actually a tattoo by that I have with my besties I’ve been coming to the beach with FOREVER.

My FAVORITE thing about hosting? Sharing what we love to do and making sure guests have a fun experience. Both Scott & I are in the Food & Beverage business so we are always ‘researching’ 🤪. Our perfect recipe for a good time is some mix of Live Music + Great Food/Drink + Our Dog + Great Accomodations which why we chose to make Highlands our home.

Miller Bay Beach: 5 Blocks: we are so lucky to have this lovely beach so close - just a 7-10 min walk down the street.

☀️ Perfect for a few easy hours with the kids - no waves - - less stress. Walk or drive and park in the tiny free lot.

☀️ Head there for magical sunset views and glimpses of NYC.

☀️ Great destination for a walk with the pup.

There are TONS of excellent bars & restaurants can walk, bike or drive to nearby…..But for the times when you want to kick back and hang at the Beach Lodge, there plenty of liquor stores in the area - one that even delivers!!

🎵 More props to Asbury Park for having a killer live music scene. That’s a huge thanks in major part to and his team the organizers of the popular festival in Asbury

These folks have been cultivating the music industry in AP and beyond through all mediums of art: live shows, exhibits, photo gallery, etc for musicians as big as to smaller local artists like and .crowe They’ve managed to mix music and the beach into a culture and vibe that’s as unique as Asbury itself.

🎤So when I heard the cheekiest (in more ways than one) band of rocker moms from was playing at Danny’s incredible photo gallery/shop we had to go. We were also treated to a performance by .crowe - a young woman who sounds like an angel with an old soul.

The ladies sound as good as they look and have such fun, entertaining originals like Sidebush, Momsplain, Salty (about a crossing guard at their kids school), and M.I.L.F (Mothers in Leather Forever)

🥖 makes some ridiculously great bread ! This was a beautifully bouncy sourdough which was off the charts delightful and i hear their onion bread is to die for.

🥖They sell out fast so grab a loaf if they have any on their shelves.

BRAND NEW breakfast / lunch spot in the old Girls Cafe location - which means it’s small and cozy- and they’ve added some cute touch ups like this fabulous floor. We enjoyed our pork roll sandwiches and look forward to trying out more!

If you’ve been to and have eaten at it’s the same folks.
