We loved staying at this property. It could not have been more perfect for our visit to the Black Hills. It was spotlessly clean and the mattresses and pillows were so comfortable. The set up was perfect for our family of four. The location allowed us to maximize our two night stay in the area. We were able to see Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse, take an extended tour of Custer State Park, enjoy the sight of the 1880 train going by, and walk into town for a delicious lunch at the Alpine Inn. We had dinner at the Sylvan Lake Mountain Lodge, coffee in the morning at the Caboose Coffee Company, and treats at TurtleTown, and my husband even got a haircut at Jake’s in town. The supermarket and the post office were very convenient as well. The close proximity meant we were able to return to Mt. Rushmore in the evening for the lighting ceremony. And we did it all in about 36 hours or so. I don’t think we could have possibly picked a better place to stay!
