Because sometimes, the best travel companion? You.

And I don’t even know you yet but I’m confident when I say that you deserve to give yourself space to recharge, reflect, and do exactly what you want, when you want, including but not limited to cozying up in the hotel’s lush bathrobe and ordering room service.

Here are some of my favorite solo experiences right now (the list is always being added to!):

➡️ Chasing Waterfalls in Iceland 💦 – Iceland is basically Mother Nature at her very best. You can spend all day hiking past waterfalls, hot springs, and black sand beaches, and still feel like you’ve only scratched the surface. Best part? It’s one of the safest places in the world for solo female travelers.

➡️ Cafe-Hopping in Paris with a Good Book – There’s an art to doing absolutely nothing in Paris, and solo travelers get it. Grab a table at a sidewalk café, order a café crème, and people-watch like it’s your job. Bonus points if you bring a book and pretend you live there.

➡️ Hiking the Cliffs of the Algarve, Portugal – Perfect for solo travelers who want adventure and a little “OMG this is gorgeous” moment. The coastline views? Unreal. And the little hidden coves you’ll find along the way? Even better.

➡️ An Outdoor Hammam Experience in Marrakech – Picture this: Warm, scented steam, an invigorating body scrub, and a full-on ritual that leaves you glowing. It’s like a deep clean for your soul.

In honor of International Women’s Day, here’s to the women out there exploring the world solo, rewriting the rules, and embracing more adventure in life.

The Greek Island to visit when you want all the beauty but none of the chaos👇
That would be (drumroll please)..... Naxos.

When most people think of the Greek Islands they picture a Santorini sunset or nightlife in Mykonos, but let me tell you a little bit more about Naxos, because I’m in love!

Naxos has golden beaches to kick back and relax on, cute little mountain villages to stroll through, and of course, all of the gorgeous sunsets and delicious Greek food like the other islands.

When clients want to hop through the Greek Islands but want a bit more of a peaceful experience, I always recommend Naxos as a pitstop.

✅ Beachfront dinners.
✅ Peaceful hikes.
✅ Sunday strolls to mountain villages.
✅ Olive oil tasting.

It’s perfect!

One of the number one things I’ve learned during our years traveling is to slow down. This may sound crazy to some. After all, there’s a whole world to explore and we have the freedom to explore it!

I understand this mindset - I truly do. When I first started out, I hopped from one place to the next at lightning speed. However, I soon discovered that there are some major benefits to slow travel, and I found that these benefits far outweigh the negatives. I now take our time in all of our travels and I am far happier for it.

When traveling slower, you have more time to explore, more time to complete day-to-day tasks, have a better chance to connect with others, and you have the ability to be more spontaneous.

By traveling slower, I have been able to wander off the beaten path and explore things I may not have seen otherwise. This is huge for me and has completely changed the way I view adventures.

You would not believe the look on my face when we got to South Africa and saw game lodge where we would be spending our holiday

Talk about romantic!

This trip was a special one. And since then, Africa has held a special place in my heart.

We watched the sun come and go down in the bush, experienced the majesty of the big 5 and reconnected with each other.

Planning a Spring Break trip doesn’t have to mean chaos!

My client just gave the go ahead on their family Spring Break getaway to Hawaii where they’ll be staying at a fantastic resort that is perfectly within their budget and also the perfect place for base as the explore the Big Island.

When we first chatted they put a big emphasis on having a balance of fun things for their kids as well as the adults.

A few more things on their wishlist:

Beach access
Snorkeling close by
Spa

And the grand reveal? They’ll be staying at Fairmont Orchid ! So happy we can finally lock this in and book so they can start counting down.

It’s so easy to underestimate how many decisions go into planning a trip from start to finish. Maybe you’ve narrowed down your destination, but now you’re scrolling through hundreds of resort options, wondering, ‘how do I even choose?’

Here’s how I help my clients cut through the noise:

A quick story about a trip I just booked ⬇️

My client had already spent about 10 hours researching and searching the web for information on Africa before coming to me.

See the thing about Africa is I‘ve been there .. I’ve stayed at different hotels, lodges, tried the food, visited the Kruger and Table Mountain.

So it’s a lot quicker and easier for me to narrow down the options because I’ve been, I know what hotels or resorts fit which travel styles because I’ve been there.

I know what experiences and tours are absolutely worth your time.

In the end we narrowed down their hotel/resort to two options:

Chitwa Chitwa Lodge: each suite has a plunge pool to cool after after game drives, it over looks the largest lake in Sabi Sands and offers intimate sophistication.

Notten's Bush Camp: each open plan suite offers serene bush views. The camp offers a large pool for cooling off after game drives as well as bonfires under the stars.

And all it took was a discussion and a couple of emails! Stay tuned to see which one they pick.

Three Caribbean islands you’ll LOVE other than Jamaica 👇

Jamaica gets a lot of love (and for good reason), but if you’ve been before and you’re ready to explore a little deeper to some of the smaller islands, here are three I’m currently planning trips to for clients:

🏝️ Saint Lucia – Think lush rainforests, dramatic volcanic peaks, and the iconic Pitons. This island is made for couples who want romance and adventure. You can hike Gros Piton for epic views, then cool off in a private plunge pool with the ocean as your backdrop. It’s the perfect mix of thrill and chill.

🏝️ Grenada – Sure, it’s called the Spice Isle, but Grenada is full of surprises. The underwater sculpture park? A total must for snorkelers and divers. And if you’re a foodie, you’ll love visiting a local chocolate estate or sipping rum straight from the source at a distillery. This island has flavor in every sense of the word.

🏝️ Barbados – Yes, the pink-sand beaches are dreamy, but there’s so much more to love here. From luxury catamaran cruises to secret coves only the locals know, this island nails that blend of elegance and authenticity. And let’s not forget—it gave us Rihanna. Enough said.

Every island in the Caribbean has its own unique experiences and if you ask me, that just means more excuses to book trips.

Nothing makes me think YIKES more than seeing online forums and messages of people who’s vacations were ruined because they got to their resort or hotel and it was not as expected. Now, some of you may not necessarily care too much about where you lay your head at night, you’re there to explore and enjoy the destination. But for some of you, the resort or hotel experience can absolutely make or break your whole trip. 👉 My advice? Don’t go off of the photos online, and outdated reviews you’re hoping still reflect the current situation.
