Carol of the Bells – Gerald Near performed by Dr. Jan Kraybill (Infinity 489 Music Video)

Dr. Jan Kraybill performs Gerald Near's Carillon on a Ukrainian Carol, built on the iconic melody in "Carol of the Bells." The Church of the Resurrection is the largest church in Kansas City with a comprehensive music ministry encompassing myriad styles, modern arrangements, and compositions. They chose to place their trust in Rodgers, installing a four-manual Infinity 489 organ. For Resurrection, anchoring their worship in the tradition of a large, beautiful organ was as important as choosing an instrument that could fit in an ever-evolving ensemble. O Holy Night Piano & Organ Duet (Imagine 239 Music Video)

’Tis the season! Enjoy this wonderful Christmas duet of O Holy Night, Performed by Guest Organist Joel Anderson and Peggy Dahl-Bartunek of Rodgers Classic Organs of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan UP Several of Rodgers' unique features were used to register this arrangement of "O Holy Night”. Using a choral score with piano accompaniment as a basis, Peggy created a piano/organ duet featuring Joel on the piano accompaniment, and using both orchestral and pipe voice registrations for the choral part. For the first verse, Peggy played all of the choral parts on the Great manual using Rodgers’ Enhanced Orchestral Coupler with orchestral flute for the soprano vocal line in the Great Melody 1, the orchestral alto oboe for the alto vocal line in the Great Melody 2, and flute celestes for the remaining voices. Throughout the piece, listeners will hear chimes but may wonder where they are being played! By Using Rodgers Octave Shift, Peggy registered chimes in the pedal division two octaves higher. The second verse is registered on the Great manual with layered harp, strings, and pedal chimes. The refrain changes to a Principal Chorus, returning to flute and oboe at the end. The Imagine 239 is the perfect two-manual drawknob organ for small churches, homes, or any music program seeking world-class tonal accuracy in a modern instrument.
