From the first moment I drove through the Blue Ridge Mountains to the first moment I began walking down the street in downtown Floyd, VA, to the first sip of natural spring water that flows from the tap to the first night when I burst into tears because for the first time in my life I could see tens of thousands of stars in the pollution-free sky, I knew I wanted to spend time here.

From the inescapable live music to the art, to the food, to the kayaking, to the hiking, to the vineyards and breweries, to the welcoming people, to the affordable shopping for new and antique items, to watching the leaves change while driving around what feels like Ireland with its rolling green hills, this is an affordable family vacation to remember.

Direct flights from LGA to Roanoke and just a little over an hour in the car from there and you’re in the middle of nowhere surrounded by so much beauty and nature. It’s like nowhere else.

FloydFest is almost here! To say we’re excited is an understatement. We’ve had a front row seat to the developments and all we can say is that it’s going to be magical!🪄 This year Red Rooster will be operating three locations:

🎵 Oasis – Located in the main food court, this space will bring back memories of our original FloydFest shack. From lattes to tea, cold brew to a hot cup of joe, this spot will be your go-to from early in the morning to late at night.

🎵 The Depot – We’re thrilled to be part of this new addition! There’s too much happening in one building to post here- be sure to follow FloydFest for all the vendor and amenity info.

🎵 Backstage – Keeping artists and VIP patrons caffeinated backstage since 2011. You never know who you’ll see sipping coffee here. 🤩
