Did you know that blue crabs can swim? Their back pair of legs act as flippers enabling them to swim surprisingly fast. We occasionally see them swimming right under the surface of the water.

Don’t let the weather prediction keep you indoors or off the water! The weather prediction will often say 50 percent chance of storms but they often don’t show, and pass quickly when they do show. Local advice is plan to do what you want to do, keep an eye on the radar and have a plan for if a storm does pop up.

Our captains are always watching the weather to ensure that our trips are safe and fun. If a storm does interfere with a trip we offer the option to reschedule or do a full refund.

Have you ever seen a loggerhead sea turtle eating a horseshoe crab? This is a rare sighting but goes to show that you never know what you’ll see on an adventure in our diverse and dynamic ecosystem.

There is just something about watching the sunset on the water 😍

While there isn’t a specific time that’s better to see dolphins or other wildlife, our sunset tours are usually the best time to see Mother Nature really show off her colors. 🌅

Did you know our trips can be dog friendly? 🐶

We understand while traveling with our 4 legged friends, it can be hard to leave them for extended periods of time. We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs per trip upon owner discretion (you obviously know your pets temperament best! ) Just let us know in the notes when you book your trip so we can accommodate them.

While the dolphins are usually the stars of the show, Beaufort is home to a variety of bird species. You’ll often see the Anhingas spreading their wings drying themselves in the sun as these water birds do not have waterproof feathers. 🪶
