Our Salute begins just north of Myrtle Beach at 1pm and continues the length of the South Carolina coast line. The F-16s will lead the way with the C-17 and warbirds following behind. We ask that you arrive early and be patient as these planes make their way to your beach! We promise: It is worth the wait!

We love our furry friends and how they also enjoy the beach but starting this Friday they need to be off the beach by 10:00 am and can come back after 5:00 pm. This now includes Fish Haul Beach Park and Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park beach access.

We are hearing that the Breeze Trolley service will be starting back up in April 2021. Also, we are reading that from the Forest Beach Owners Association, that the service will have:

- A new route will be added this year to extend the service from Shelter Cove to Folly Field Road.
- Monitors will be added to trollies to play videos to promote the island.
- The Trolley will continue to be free during the 2021 season.
- The service is expected to start April 10th and continue until Labor Day.

Access to and services at all Town of Hilton Head Island recreational parks will be fully restored as of Saturday, May 30, 2020. All bathrooms, playgrounds and picnic shelters will be open. Key facilities reopening include:

🔹 Bristol Sports Arena
🔹 Veterans' Park
🔹 Green Shell Park
🔹 Hilton Head Park
🔹 Cordillo Tennis
🔹 Compass Rose Park

acclerateSC, South Carolina's initiative for economic revitalization, has provided interim guidance for reopening of county, municipal and school athletic fields and resuming youth sports events. Among other guidelines, league and event organizers have the responsibility to:

🔸 Maintain a list of all participants present at each event and have contact information on file.
🔸 Conduct daily symptom assessments (self-evaluation).
🔸 Operate any concessions in compliance with SCDHEC standards and additional protocols.
🔸 Ensure coaches wear masks at all times. When feasible, staff and volunteers should wear masks within the sports facility.
🔸 Schedule to allow for adequate buffer times between games to allow spectators, players and coaches to enter and exit the facility with limited interaction.
🔸 Make sure spectators adhere to social distancing requirements.

Practices may resume on May 30, 2020 and games may resume on June 15, 2020.

Other special events and organized gatherings are not authorized at this time.

Hilton Head Island Beach Access and Parking Locations ⛱

Starting Friday, May 22, 2020, parking and access will be fully restored at the following beach parks: Alder Lane, Coligny Beach, Burkes Beach, Driessen, Folly Field, Islanders’ and Fish Hall.
🔹 Overflow parking space will be available at Cast Net Court (Chaplin Community Park remains closed.) for Burkes Beach visitors and at the USCB Hospitality Campus, 1 Sand Shark Drive, for Coligny Beach Park visitors.
🔹 Palmetto Breeze will provide free shuttle service to transport visitors from the USCB campus to Coligny, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am - 3 pm.
🔹 Parking fees will be reinstated and meters will be operational at beach parks where they are located.
🔹 Beach Pass holders may park in any marked space without paying any additional fee.
🔹 Visitors who choose to park illegally in unmarked spaces or along road rights of way should expect to have their vehicle towed.
