Today we visited Bonaire.
In my words. It’s Savagely Beautiful
Home of wild 🦩 flamingos, wild donkeys and goats roam around freely. Major dive location and the most beautiful color water you’ll find. The beaches are made of fingerling coral. Thick cacti covers the arid portion of the island
They make their fences with the cactus.

Interesting Facts: Bonaire is an island municipality of the Netherlands, lies off Venezuela’s coast in the southern Caribbean. Its reef-lined coast is protected by Bonaire National Marine Park. Beyond its rich marine life, the island shelters lizards, donkeys and birds within its immense Washington Slagbaai National Park, marked by beaches, lagoons, caverns and desert-like hills.

The solar salt facility, one of the largest in the Caribbean, is today owned by Cargill.
Each pyramid, roughly 50-feet high, contains approximately 10,000 metric tons of 99.6% pure salt. Depending on the time of the year, there can be upwards of 200,000 metric tons of salt neatly stacked in long rows awaiting shipment.

It’s travel day today. After a long day we are in place to board the Celebrity Reflection for my host agency’s Crystal Awards and networking with suppliers and about 400 fellow agents. Fun time and lots of learning to gain this week. We had a great dinner at Kelly’s Landjng—an easy walk up from Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina.
