Set in the Ouachita Forest near Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park, where natural beauty and outdoor activities abound! Winter is the perfect time for a crisp walk in the woods or to enjoy a hot dog roasted at the fire pit or a nice glass or wine on the balcony. If the weather turns cool you can enjoy a family game night in the loft or a dip in the hot tub. There is plenty to do and see right at the cabin, but if you are called to venture out, we are minutes from all the activities, excursions and restaurants! Come enjoy Hochatown at Fireside Chats!

Unusual Last minute December bookings are available at beautiful Fireside Chats Cabin in Hochatown, Oklahoma! This cabin accommodates 8 persons with two master king en-suites and an upstairs loft with two full sized Murphy beds and an adjoining bath. There are plenty of places to keep warm with indoor and outdoor fireplaces and an outdoor fit pit for roasting hot dogs or marshmallows! This cabin is in central Hochatown and close to all the activities. The cabin is walking distance to the Sasquatch's Candy Den and the Hochatown Mountain Co. Gift Store but secluded enough to feel at home in the woods. Take advantage of the peace and quiet and some great deals that the winter season offers!

Ouachita Mountain leafy update...

It's not peak colors, yet, but I figure by the end of this week, there will be the peakiest of peak colors, in all the lands.

Yall still have plenty of time to eyeball the carnage of leaves still attached to the trees.

Talimena National Scenic Byway is beautiful right now, too but also not at its peakiest. Still totally worth the drive. There's more color popping out along the way but what's awe inspiring for me right now is the valleys below the mountains between Black Fork, Rich Mountain and Kiamichi Mountain.
