It was a beautiful night to celebrate Oktoberfest on the water. Beers, brats Bavarian pretzels were enjoyed along the way.

A group of us got out for the sunset/fullmoon last night. Perfect conditions on Lake Mac.

Tulip City Paddle Tours took out the staff this evening. A beautiful evening on Lake Macatawa as the sun set and the moon rose.

Tulip City Paddle Club this Tuesday! A nice easy route from Dunton Park to Windmill Island along Macatawa River. We’ll get on the water at 6pm Sept 10.
Meet at the boat ramp at Dunton Park (you can put “Holland Princess” in the gps and park at the spot near the dinner cruise—you do NOT want the main Dunton Park entrance. Follow Boat Ramp/dinner cruise signs)

These are community paddles for paddlers with experience, although this is a pretty easy route. Instruction is not specifically given at these and people bringing their own equipment should provide their own PFDs.

Free with your own board or kayak. Or contact me by noon Tuesday to rent a board.

Such a fun evening on the water with Tulip City Paddle Club! We got out on Lake Michigan to ride and jump in the waves.

UPDATE:
I’m keeping an eye on the weather. The wind should still die down by then and things are still looking good for us.

Tulip City Paddle Club this Tuesday. It is looking like a nice calm evening so let’s get out on the big lake! Meeting at the boat ramp behind Sandy Point (turn onto Tyler St from Lakeshore Dr and follow the turn in the road; it ends at the ramp. Street parking)
6pm Tuesday Aug 27.

This is a free community paddle. You can rent a board for $25, but you must contact me by noon Tuesday if you’d like to rent one.

Such a great evening with a bunch of Mrs Ropers on Lake Macatawa! Thanks to all that participated. We had Harvey Wallbangers at the Regal Beagle and enjoyed the sunset too.

We partnered with Ottawa County Parks for a lovely paddle along Macatawa River from Paw Paw Park to Windmill Island. A parks guide gave informative talks and pointed out wildlife and flora along the way. Tulip City Paddle Tours provided the boards and instruction.
