The Flag of the United States was adopted on June 14th 1777. In 1916, the president established June 14th as Flag Day BUT it is not an offical Federal Holiday & American Flags are not lowered. Flag Day is also the same day as the birthday of the United States Army. The earliest reference to Flag Day was by George Morris in 1861. The first formal observances of the day was believed to be held in Wisconsin in 1895 by a grade school teacher. Flag Day was first made a legal holiday in the state of Pennslyvania in 1937. US citizens are encouraged to fly their flag for the duration of "Flag Week": 6/11-6/17. The largest Flag Day parade is held in Troy, NY.

About Us

In 1999, Gatherings Plus, began planning military reunions for veterans in the Branson, Missouri community. Gatherings Plus, quickly became one of the premier reunion and event planning agencies in the country. The mission of Gatherings Plus is to help our customers enjoy events, reunions, and travel groups without the hassles that come from the planning process.

Since 2016, Gatherings Plus has been owned by Scott Thompson, the owner of Thompson Coach, YMRC, and Branson Cab Service. Scott has been involved in local business for over 30 years and understands the event planning industry. Mr. Thompson prides himself in building a strong team for his companies that have the same love of tourism & customer service that he values so much. We operate based on a set of core values that come from a love of God, family, and country.

Every year, Gatherings Plus plans group travel, reunions, events and vacations for thousands of guests, and we always have the same mission. At Gatherings Plus, we seek to accomplish four things:
