We had a memory filled time with our Valor & Honor Outdoors personnel for the 3 days we had them. From the DU Banquet in Holly Grove to the 30 minute boat rides involving tow ropes. We at Kansas Lake Access - Cabins at Maddox Bay, Ar. can't thank our anonymous friend for bringing our veterans down to enjoy the camaraderie and fellowship that waterfowl hunting provides. We can't wait to have our hero's back next year!!

This year's duck season wasn't what we were expecting...from super dry weather for most of it to the freeze/flood. Everyone learned a lot and saw things we've never seen before. For another year, the famous Maddox Bay didn't disappoint. Already looking forward to next year and can't wait for fishing season. We will definitely have another option available before the next hunting season. Thank you to every one of our customers and we hope to see you again soon.

We just had a cancellation for the weekend after Thanksgiving thru December 3rd. This is during the first season of duck hunting. If interested or wanting to book any of this period let us know, we expect it to go quickly......

We are getting the cabin booked for the upcoming hunting seasons, October is open, November dates available at this time are Nov. 1, 2, 5-16, 21-30- December dates Dec 1-4, 17-27 - January dates are Jan 5-13 and 23-31. Get your dates quickly before they are all gone. Come visit us......

We are happy to Inform, that we will be adding an additional cabin to the Kansas Lake Access - Cabins at Maddox Bay, Ar! The lot was cleared and the pad was built over the weekend. House will be going in within the next week! Stay tuned for more pictures and be on the lookout for availability, very soon!

Does temperature affect deer movement??

A drop of 10 or more degrees in daytime high temperatures tends to elicit a positive increase in deer movement—this seems to be the threshold for a meaningful cold front. Furthermore, cold temperatures in general (compared to the average for that time of year) are almost always a good thing. If you have a cold front hitting your area, it represents one of your best opportunities to catch deer moving a little more than usual. These are the times to call in sick and hunt your best properties or stand locations.
