Whats your favorite way to eat purple top turnips?

Although the nasty weather this morning was unexpected, this warm bowl of turnips is right on time! So easy and so yummy. I just peeled, chopped and put in the pot with some broth and salt. It’s delish and Brinkley ate TWO bowls. It warms my soul to cook something that’s simple yet satisfies the kiddos…. Tonight, I’ll roast some in the oven with some salt….

Fall MUMS have plenty of blooms left to brighten any day! Pumpkins and cornstalks too…. OPEN Saturday 10:00-3:00 and Sunday 1:00-5:00 Pls pick up your BULK 🍎 orders by Saturday (10:00-3:00). All extras will be announced for Sunday afternoon pick up. Fresh pressed 🍎 cider! (Gallons and half gallons) 🍎 cider donuts! (Yes! You can freeze some for later) 🍎 cider slushies! 🍎 butter! 🎃 Pumpkins! All shapes and sizes! Pick up from the field or the farm stand 🎃 🎃 Muffin Mix 🎃 Butter Farm Tours on Saturday 11:00-2:00 and Sunday 2:00-4:00. Only $5/person to take a ride while watching the crew plant strawberries 🍓 for the 2025 season plus an update on all of our fall crops. Our foodtruck will be serving tasty food from 10:30-2:00 on Saturday and 1:00-4:00 on Sunday. The Farmer’s Daughter

Here’s a glimpse from our 13yo ( Bryce) 😂. It was quite busy today as we sorted and stacked about 6 or 7 pallets! At one point, it looked like a caravan delivering supplies. Those receiving on the other end will be truly blessed…. Please say a prayer for safe travels to Hendersonville tomorrow as well as everyone that receives it. We will update as we can… In the meantime, we are looking for contacts that would sell or possibly donate some hay to horses and/or cows. They are reaching a critical low in some areas. Pls send me a pm if you have access or know some contacts. There is a semi truck planning to load on Thursday and travel from Charleston on Friday. Additionally, we will continue to collect as long as there are people without power and water with needs. We will continue to assess the situation. We have plans to travel next week and know other trucks leaving on Sunday and Monday. Please keep the donations coming. A short list of some things we saw that were low or missing today: Bug spray Chainsaws Gas cans Can take more canned food First Aid (including Benadryl) Shovels Again, we will know more when we talk to people in NC tomorrow and we will continue to update the list as well as come up with more drop sites. Thank you so very much!

Open 9-5 Monday-Saturday Still plenty of strawberries to pick or let us pick for you! Jam berries are available today (while supplies last) for only $15/bag. AND the veggie parade is still going…. We are putting okra in the ground today.

Post Spring-Break fashion show at the farm in hopes you see something you’ve lost! Items will be left in comments to claim.

The greenhouse is sprouting beautifully 🌱 Keep an eye out for our list of what’s available! We expect the bulk of the veggies to be coming in June/July.
