✈️👩🏻🍼People kept asking me why I would willingly travel alone to Israel with two kids 2 and under. One of my friends even told me, “You just have to recognize it won’t be fun.”
Well, we proved her wrong. 🙌
Were there difficult moments? Of course. There was one night I shared a room with both Rochelle and Mickey, and they kept waking each other up. I was exhausted, dealing with cranky kids, and yes, I probably cried a little. 😅
But, the next day was a new day, and we made the most of it. ❤️We spent it with family, creating beautiful memories.
For the first time ever, all the cousins were together. EVER! My mom had all her grandkids in one place. Priceless. 💖
Will Rochelle remember it? I hope so, but even if not, the bond she created with her cousins is something that will last forever.
Family is always worth the effort.

While we’ve heard from many that they love the museum, for us it’s a pass. Good reminder that reels can make anything look awesome even if the reality differs.
Positive:
👍🏼 Love that it’s a museum, aquarium and planetarium in one place
Negatives:
👎🏼While there were plenty of interactive exhibits we didn’t find it as interactive as many of the museums we’ve visited

For this week’s Travel Tip Tuesday, we’re focused on our top tips for Japan.
1. Pack light! I thought we packed light with 1 large suitcase and 3 backpacks for the family but it was too much and would have been really hard on the trains throughout the city. Bring as little as possible and remember you can always buy things there.
2. Make sure to have cash! A bunch of places don’t accept credit cards (although this is improving) and we had a hard time finding good ATMs. I’d recommend 7-11 ATMs since they are the most reliable no-fee option for international cards and can be found everywhere. Note that some 7-11 ATMs in popular spots like Gion do now charge, so try to withdraw in less touristy areas.
3. Download Google Maps and use it to navigate the train system, especially in Tokyo.
4. Add the Suica card to your phone’s wallet. You can add extra yen as you go using Apple Pay. Just tap your iPhone on the reader at train stations and it will debit the amount without you even having your wallet open. Near the end of the trip, I added the exact amount needed to avoid having a balance when we returned.
5. Book Popular Spots in Advance! Museums like TeamLab and Ghibli often sell out within a day of being posted.
6. Be prepared for the hot weather if traveling in the summer! Drink lots of liquids, use fans and be dressed to sweat.
7. Go onsening! Soaking in a hot spring is one of the top things to do in Japan and was an awesome bonding experience with Rochelle.
8. Do at least one thing thats out of the box - the highlight of our trip was driving into a more rural area of Japan and attending a dance festival.

The kosher options in South Florida are endless!
Check out Barrel Wine & Cheese, a KOSHER wine bar in Hallandale Beach, on your next visit to Miami. The innovative wine store features a self-serve wine vending machine. Each person gets a personalized card to track your favorites for future bottles.
They also serve dairy tapas and cheese boards to pair with your wine. If this venture goes well, the owner told us the plan is to open a meat option next door.
Our Honest Take:
🍷Super cool concept that I haven’t really seen anywhere else, especially kosher
🍷Love the self-serve vending machine
🍷The cheese board was nice but didn’t feel super special. Definitely on par with something you could do yourself at home.
🍷Food was good but not amazing. Curious to see how it changes when they have fully functional kitchen
🍷Prices of bottles are in line with wines at local kosher shops. Prices for a glass are less than what you’d pay in a nice kosher restaurant.
🍷Still seem to be ironing a few things out with the service
🍷I went at night and during day. Both were very different vibes but very pleasant

Jerusalem’s Infinity Museum blends lights, special effects, and music for the ultimate immersive sensory experience.
Here are our thoughts:
💡Great multigenerational activity- fun for babies, toddlers, kids, and adults.
💡Similar vibes to the Balloon Museum but a bit more hectic and dirty
💡Tickets are timed entrance but they don’t really follow it so it felt crowded (though we went right when it opened in August so crowds may be smaller now)
💡At 114 shekels ($31), tickets are expensive for Israel but affordable compared to Miami/ New York pricing. Kids under 4 are free so I paid for just myself.
💡We spent about two hours there but could have easily stayed all day
💡Nice area to sit and have a snack (or nap like Rochelle did) outside the museum
💡Close to Malcha mall so can be combined with a day at the mall or zoo
💡Only open until October 31 so head there soon!
