I rarely mention our place here in Homer without including Yeti, our yak/cow cross. Ever since Ranja gave up on riding or working him, we've referred to him as our 2000-pound pasture ornament.

Along with lots of talk about art, schooling, growing up in Fairbanks, etc., you can hear all about him in my recent interview.

He's gotten pretty massive over the years and is one of the highlights of our Dean Homestead and Art Studio tours. Our friend was right on the money when he guessed his weight last year. You'll have to listen to the podcast to hear how heavy he's gotten. Let me just say we no longer refer to him as our '2000' pound pasture ornament.
