Wayne County Historical Society Museum Winter Hours Announcement
Seasonal Hours and Spring Open House at the Main Museum

The Wayne County Historical Society announces its winter hours for the Main Museum, at 810 Main Street, Honesdale. During January, February, March, and April, the museum will be open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Starting May 7, 2025, the Main Museum will extend its hours and be open four days a week: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Join us for our Spring Open House on Saturday, May 3, 2025, to celebrate and explore Wayne County's rich history! We look forward to welcoming visitors to the museum.

Are you looking for a place to gather with family for Thanksgiving or to go skiing in the winter?

Our Farmhouse can sleep up to 11. It is situated on Pleasant Mount Farm surrounding Belmont Lake It was built in the 1930's but completely restored in 2023.

It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, dining room with seating for up to 8, fast WIFI, beautiful views from the deck of the mountains and a hot tub!

"Excellent location in the middle of Main Street in town. Right next to a coffee shop, CVS, there’s a great brunch place next door called Laurel’s. There’s also a wine bar where we did a wine tasting, the ice cream shop was right across the street. The parking lot was very convenient since it’s all paid parking on the street.
The loft was super spacious and clean. Great to have two bathrooms as well. Internet connection was good too. Love the interior of the place and the decor. There were nice touches like the shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser in the bathroom.
The location is very close to a whole slew of hiking trails, lots of beer breweries too and shooting ranges." Do we need to say more?✅

Wonder History

Wonder is a historic 3 story brick building located on Main St. in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Restoration of the buildling began in 2018 and with the help and amazing design efforts of Samuelle Green and family it is very near completion. The first phase was the buildout of the amazing new restaurant Native, owned and operated by Caleb and Alex Johnson, this is a first of it's kind elegant open air restaurant with full liquor license which occupies the first floor middle section of the building. Phase 2 which was recently completed was the buildout of the Be Kind Bake Shop, owned and operated by Casey Zier an amazing Baker which will offer amazing baked goods to community, the bakery occupies the first floor left side of the buildilng. Phase 3 and the final stage is the buildout of 6 suites with 12 full bathrooms that will be available to rent on short term basis in 2020. Each suite will be able to sleep 6 people. Each suite can be rented individually or you can rent a floor or the entire buildling will be able to be rented in its entirety for large groups.
