In honor of Jana Lutteropp's passing, my mom and I went to white rock and threw flowers in the water and watch the sunset. She was a 20 year old German girl on vacation who was bit by a shark and lost her arm at white rock beach. After fighting for a week she lost her life today.. Our hearts go out to her family and friends. We didn't know her personally but wanted to pay our respects.

I can't imagine giving up the dream of seeing my daughter grow old with me. My heart aches for this German family and all those who Jana heart touched. You are forever in our prayers. Aloha Jana....

Friends, the people that are ruining this planet have names. Here's one:

Kristjan Loftsson, Iceland, a tycoon with a hobby to harpoon fin whales and ship them to Japan where they are turned into dog treats for the wealthy.

Dogs don't eat whales. Would you help us expose him, this trade and the complacent Dutch Government?

In a few days, one Icelandic man will set out on his summer hobby to harpoon the brains out of dozens of gigantic fin whales, then chop them into pieces and ship their meat to Japan. We would like to stop him before the slaughter and help block the trade before it leaves Europe.

Despite the whale meat trade being illegal in most of the world, the Dutch are quietly allowing tycoon Kristjan Loftsson to traffic these shameful carcasses via Rotterdam. We hope to expose the Dutch government's bloody trade and cause a public storm. If the whalers can’t sell the meat viia the Dutch trade route, we have a chance to stop the hunt before it starts.

We have just a few days until the whalers start the hunt -- let's build an urgent global call to force Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte to refuse safe harbour for the whalers' bloody cargo.

15th Annual Lantern Floating Hawaii

In Polynesian mythology, Maui was a powerful trickster god best known for creating the Pacific islands. A son of the god Tangaroa and a woman, he performed many deeds to improve the lives of humans, such as making the sky higher and the day longer.

Maui is best known for creating the islands while out on a fishing trip with his brothers. First he fashioned a magic fishing hook from his grandmother's jawbone. Then, as his brothers looked on, Maui cast the hook into the water and began to pull up from the ocean floor the islands on which the Polynesians now live.
