✨POV: your wedding literally just ended BUT you take a few minutes to make sure your flowers are ready to be preserved the nextday✨
Tip #1: Always keep your flowers in a vase with water when they’re not in use. The longer your flowers have access to fresh water, the better! So in between photos or before you’ve made your way to the dance floor- make sure to put your bouquet in a vase😌
Tip #2: NEVER lay your flowers down on their side or even worse…face down! This can cause the petals to bruise or tear. You might not notice a difference now but once your flowers dry and are set in resin or a frame - the damage becomes much more apparent. 🫣
Tip #3: Trim the stems of your bouquet after your wedding is over. Your flowers love fresh water and cutting the stems allows them to drink more easily. Chances are the last time your stems were trimmed was long before you even received them, so make sure that they get some fresh water! 💧
Pro tip: Cut the stems at an angle so that they’re not sitting directly on the vase. The angled cut gives them room to drink🍹
Tip # 4: Always store your flowers in a cool AC room, NEVER in a regular fridge. Your flowers like to be kept cool- but the temperature of a household fridge is waaaay too cold! Flowers that are kept in the fridge will often have signs of freezer burn, so it’s best to just keep them in a room with the AC on. (Floral fridges are the only exception) ❄️
Tip #5: Transport your flowers to MBP in a vase with water. This is the best way to ensure your flowers don’t get damaged during transportation. No need to keep them in a bag or cooler- just a vase with water will do! 😇
Bonus tip/Friendly Flower Reminder:
Make sure to book your preservation drop off for the morning after your event. While you might have just received your flowers yesterday- Your florist probably had them for at least 2-3 days prior- and the supplier probably first cut the stems at least 3-5 days before that. Realistically, once your flowers reach our door they’re probably at least a week old. So every minute counts! 📆
We love you and we can’t wait to receive your flowers😍
