Frank tried his new rod and reel. And found out he didn’t have enough backing. Ran after this fish for 40ft on the knot. Luckily it turned back and we were able to get some line back on the reel. And get this fish to hand. Let’s go!

Congratulations to with his first (and definitely not last) Hawaiian Bonefish! This guy did an incredible job adjusting to our difficult conditions here in Hawaii. He sighted this fish and sent a cast straight into the wind for the win!!

Joe with his first ever bonefish! The flat was slow today on a small bump tide. So we didn’t have as many shots as usual. Luckily we were able to capitalize on one!

After several miss hits, spooked fish, and denials our persistence paid off!! Big props to for keeping his composure and making the buzzer be**er cast at the end of the day. Super low light cloudy conditions made us work for this fish. All I can say is what a FATTY!! Let’s Go!!!

Went out today with good friend James! He’s hunting another world record. This was our biggest of the day but just a little short! Pretty epic sight fishing conditions got us 5 landed! Let’s Go!!

In case you were wondering what happens between the bite and the release. It’s forearm burning reeling lol.

This is the fish from the last post. Made 3 huge runs into the backing. Had me thinking it was a monster. But still pretty fat. Like this post. Follow for more. Put the phone down and GO FISH.

Thought I spooked this fish. Hooked it on my fourth cast at it.

We put our time in. Take our shots. Mess a bunch up. All so we can experience (arguably) the best strike you can get on a Fly. Nothing goes from bite to backing quite like a bonefish. The tug is the drug!!

These fish never get old. Challenging conditions and fish = Rewarding Release. Go Fish you Animals.

What a fun day me and the daughter had with uncle Chris @alohafishinghawaii. We spent most of our time goofing off and enjoying our boat ride. But got a little catch and release lesson in with this papio aka blue fin trevally! Same lesson my dad taught me so many years ago.
