Anybody like bang! That could go couple different ways. The fish were around and it was action. connected the cast and made magic happen. Super pumped to have fished with a pro. People ask what is the secret? Answer: you have to be good.

Fred and I’ve been fishing for years. Kids went to the same school etc. We did not have to cast to catch this fish. The fly was dangling in the water and the bone came up and grabbed it. We had to move it around a little. I’m pretty sure I got the hook up on the GoPro. Stay tuned for that video.

This is a cool picture of diamond head and Honolulu. The sun is shinning and the water is calm. Today we used the ghetto super crab, Rio line, and Pelagos fly rods to get the job done. The fish weren’t big, but good enough.

Solo days on the water. Always take someone with you so there is a cameraman. Selfies aren’t so easy with Hawaiian bonefish. Luckily I found someone for one of the fish. What a wild week of fishing. Fish were bitting, Elias aka the catches the fish of a lifetime-giant golden Travelly. Not just any golden a 15lb golden. Super awesome.

Good times getting out on the flats. Oio and bonefish are different. Good weather or s**t weather we are out there trying to figure these fish out. Their habits, where they will be, what tides best to fish, and the only way to figure that out is to spend time on the water.

Learning from one of the best social media influencers Captain Chris Wright. Tilt the fish a little this way. He took this picture so let’s see how many likes this gets. This fish attacked three times before clamping down. Bobby great job in landing this fish in shallow water 15 feet. GT fishing in Hawaii is nuts. No fish in Oahu! This fish was caught near Hanauma bay. The spot is 600 feet north of Kailua pier. .__.wilson

Important housing information for those displaced by the fire or for those who own rental property on Maui:

Maui Economic Opportunity has a program that will pay first months deposit and up to 6 months of rent for the displaced. Priority is for the elderly, disabled, and families with children. However, the wait list is long at the moment because there aren’t enough landlords who are aware of the program. If you are displaced and know of a landlord that is willing to rent to you, you can bypass the line if you belong to one of the priority groups and the landlord wants to match directly with you. If you are a landlord and are looking for a program that will assist in renting to displaced fire victims you can email MEO at [email protected] or call them at (808) 249-2990 and ask for Gay Sibonga.

FEMA and Red Cross are unhelpful beareucratic nightmares and this is the only program that I’ve found that is actually doing anything to house people on a mid/longer term basis. Please share far and wide.

It is hard for me to ask for money for myself. But In order for me to continue the work for the people, I’m going to need your help. This goes directly into my business account keawe consulting llc. I’m pretty sure you can write it off. My tour company took a loss that is going to be hard to recover from. The white car I cruise around in, yup no tours just fat bill. I’m thinning out my company and reducing the overhead. Maxed out my line of credit and looking for other loan options.
