Thursday we visited Melk, Austria. Melk Abbey is one of the biggest and most beautiful Baroque style abbeys. Since 1089, the Benedictine monks have been living and working in uninterrupted tradition. The original Abbey burned and they rebuilt the current one in 1704! We could only take pictures outside. The inside was very ornate and beautiful. Then, back on the ship, we travel up the Danube through the Wachau Valley with Castle and vineyards and small towns on both sides. It was like a fairytale!
Traveling thru the Adirondack Mountains today with a stop in Lake Placid at the Olympic Ski Jumping Complex! Then we ferried across Lake Champlain to Vermont for the next two nights!
The gardens at the Creation Museum and the Ark are just breathtaking! God has blessed us with no rain. It rained a little at the Creation Museum but we were inside. The sun came out when we left and and as we were driving through the gate it started raining again! Today at the Ark it is overcast but no rain! God is GOOD!
McDonald’s Lodge in Glacier National Park. It was built in the early 1900’s. I hope the sun comes out around noon. We will take a boat ride plus have lunch as cruise the lake. This is where you see those iconic colored rock through the crystal clear waters.
