In an abundance of caution, this weeks market is postponed. Although its a difficult call to make, the safety of our vendors, market staff/volunteers, and customers is a top priority.

Let's give our visiting teams a warm welcome and enjoy some fantastic softball action! We're thrilled to host over 800 players and coaches for the Dixie Softball World Series from July 19-31, 2024, at the JEJ Moore Athletic Complex.

Join us for opening ceremonies on July 19 and 26, with games starting the next day.

Tickets: Week-long adult $25, kids $15; One-day adult $10, kids $5.

April 20th is the beginning of National Park Week, and we hope you celebrate the Earth with us at General Grant's Headquarters at City Point! Earth Day is Monday, but we are celebrating early on Saturday (the 20th). We will have tours, and hands-on activities from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. We will be joined by Friends of the Lower Appomattox River, Virgina Master Naturalists, Keep Hopewell Beautiful, Hopewell Recreation and Parks, and the Virginia Association for Environmental Education!

THE OLIVER ANTHONY EASTER SHOW THIS SUNDAY AT THE HISTORIC BEACON THEATRE IN HOPEWELL - IS SOLD OUT!!!

NASHVILLE, TN - March 26, 2024 - Today, Oliver Anthony announced a special gospel concert at Hopewell’s historic Beacon Theatre about 70 miles from his hometown of Farmville. Taking place this Easter Sunday (3/31), all ticket sales from the show will go to the local Beacon Hill Church’s food outreach program. Since 2020, the program has served free meals to the community every Friday and typically feeds around 400 people in need. Tickets are now SOLD OUT! If you were lucky enough to buy tickets, doors will open at 6:00pm. Music will start about 7:00pm.

Tickets are now officially on sale to the public! The cast has already bought about half the tickets for each show and continue to buy them, so get yours before the show sells out! Currently, we have filled all of the volunteer spots, but if any open up feel free to post below if interested and we will notify you. Although we appreciate our volunteers, we ask that no one randomly show up to work a show as we may not need you and it will be a wasted trip. When purchasing tickets online, you have two options - you can either purchase directly or you can fill out the contact form and have a Box Office Rep reach out to you to assist with your purchase.
