My heart is filled with immense gratitude and joy. In the blink of an eye, Carentan week comes to a close. What a truly wonderful journey it's been! ❤️
Today, we wrapped up our time in Nashville, basking in the glorious sunshine. We soaked in the vibrant downtown atmosphere and, oh, the joy of finding those perfect boots! We'll be stepping out in style, for sure!
While I was sad 😭 to say goodbye to my Carentan friends/family, I hold onto the certainty that our paths will cross again. This past week has been an absolute gift, a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and meaningful meetings emphasizing the continued support and commitment as sister cities. I look forward to the future and the many endeavors ahead for our two cities. Thank you for the precious memories my friends.
Thanks to all who made this week possible. Your support was greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten ❤️

Day Five of Carentan week, was nothing short of FANTASTIC!
Many thanks to our fabulous friends at MB Roland Distillery! The weather was absolutely perfect for a tour at the distillery!
We even had the chance to spread the love to the most phenomenal feline ever, Red ❤️! I just adore him!
Another successful day indeed.

OH MY GOODNESS, DAYS THREE AND FOUR OF CARENTAN WEEK, COMBINED?! GET READY FOR A WHIRLWIND OF AMAZINGNESS! 🎉🎉🎉

Honestly, a picture truly doesn't do justice to the INCREDIBLE experiences we've had! This week has been an absolute DREAM!

**DAY THREE: FORT CAMPBELL MAGIC!** 🤩 First off, a HUGE, resounding THANK YOU to Fort Campbell Army base and MG Brett Sylvia for their unbelievable hospitality! We're talking MEMORIES FOR LIFE! MG Sylvia gifted TWO of his uniforms, worn IN ACTION, to the Normandy museum! Can you even IMAGINE?! I'm already counting down the seconds until I can visit France and see that piece of history firsthand! 🇫🇷

Then, we got an exclusive sneak peek at the construction site for the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County you, it's going to be SPECTACULAR! 🤩 We capped off the day with a delicious lunch at the Hopkinsville Visitors Center, courtesy of McAlister's, and the honor of dining with Christian County Judge Executive, Jerry Gilliam! 🍽️ And a massive shoutout to our friends at Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, where Patrick Fissot and his team of history wizards blew us away with their incredible presentations! 🤯

**DAY FOUR: SOUTHWESTERN KENTUCKY SHINES!** ✨ Carter Hendricks and the South Western Kentucky Economic Development team, you absolutely NAILED it! We kicked off the day at Hopkinsville Murray State campus, where we with Superintendent Chris Bentzel and toured the awesome new school! 🚌 Then, it was off to Hopkinsville Community College for mind-blowing presentations from SWK Economic Development Council, Carentan Mayor Jean-Pierre Lhonneur, and the Normandy Museums!

We had a "sweet" visit to Siemer Milling and The Krusteaz Company!

But the PERFECT ending to this whirlwind day? A reception at The Bruce Convention Center that was absolutely UNFORGETTABLE! My heart is overflowing with joy! ❤️ We ate, we laughed, we celebrated the incredible bond of sister cities! It was pure magic! ✨

A massive, heartfelt thank you to Christian County Military Affairs, our incredible host families, our beloved Carentan family, and the amazing City of Hopkinsville!

And last, but certainly not least, Ginnie Pruitt… YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST! 🏆 You made this entire experience possible, and I couldn't have done it without you! YOU ARE EXCEPTIONAL! 🌟

We just want to give a quick shout out to the The Bruce for a PHENOMENAL job tonight. The decorations, drinks and food were simply amazing. And the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Merci Beaucoup!

Oh my gosh! With all of the excitement going on at Visit Hopkinsville this week, I almost forgot to post all of the other great things going on in Hoptown! Uh, if you can't find something to do this weekend, I don't know what to tell you! Wrestling tournament, Spring Open Houses, Cayce Days, school play... seriously, every minute is packed this weekend! Dare we say there may be TOO much going on this weekend? NAH!! You can never have too much stuff to do! There is something for everyone in Hoptown!
