**NOTICE** Downtown Trick or Treating has been moved to Friday, November 1st from 3:30pm-5:30pm!!!! We hope to see you at the Visit Hopkinsville booth for an "out of this world" time!! 👽

It's official! The decision has been made to move Downtown Trick-or-Treat to Friday, November 1st. The time is still 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM on Main Street.

Forecasts for the area predict heavy rain and lightning during the scheduled time of the event. The decision was made with the safety and comfort of all attendees in mind.

We will see you Friday afternoon for spooktacular fun downtown!

Two days chalked full of valuable information! I attended KACVB Directors College in Elizabethtown,KY! It was great seeing my CVB friends. I'm very fortunate to be part of an industry that goes above and beyond for CVB Directors!
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the KTIA Annual Conference in a few weeks!

2024 Christian County Military Affairs Chili Cook-off and Cornbread Challenge is a wrap! It was a great day! Thanks to everyone that participated and attended the event.
Beautiful weather, yummy chili and cornbread, topped with outstanding performances from Fort Campbell Army Band was definitely a sweet recipe of awesomeness!
Special thanks to our cornbread judges, Visit Hopkinsville’s Ginnie Word Pruitt, Kevin Maynard with The Krusteaz Company and Hopkinsville Milling Company Robert Harper.
It just doesn’t get any ”batter” than that!

And this is how Visit Hopkinsville rolls! We rolled out the red carpet for another group of PHENOMENAL folks! Today we welcomed C&T Excursions from Bardstown, KY to Hopkinsville for their MYSTERY TOUR! Roger and Amanda did an amazing job setting up this tour and I’m glad they reached out to us. They found out about Kelly, KY! Need I say more?!

The journey began at Visit Hopkinsville with a SWEET welcome and nuggets of knowledge regarding why Hoptown is the sweetest lil place on earth! After the welcome…MIC DROP…we had THE GOAT OF HOPKINSVILLE, THE ONE AND ONLY, MR. WILLIAM TURNER IN THE HOUSE! Mr. Turner shared all things Edgar Cayce with the group. Afterwards, the Queen of Green, my dear friend, Geraldine Stith, shared the history of the Kelly Little Green Men 1955 account.

But the fun didn’t stop there. After some photo opps, we loaded the bus and headed to the The Knight~House. There, our guests were welcomed by owners Eric and Roger. We transformed one of the parlor rooms into a dining area for a yummy lunch provided by the Bar-B-Que Shack! The Knighthouse is the oldest home in Hopkinsville and is absolutely gorgeous. The work they’ve put into revitalizing the home since purchasing it in April is jaw dropping. Eric shared some wonderful history about the home, previous owners and the paranormal experiences that often happen there!

In a nutshell, TODAY WAS FABULOUS! It was all about the weird, wild, and sweet side of Hoptown! It’s truly an honor to welcome so many wonderful folks to our beautiful lil city! We look forward to welcoming our guests back again and again!

The countdown begins! In just three days, the Chili Cook-off and Cornbread Challenge happens.

All cornbread entries must be submitted to the Visit Hopkinsville booth by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the challenge.

Judging criteria for cornbread will include overall taste, flavor, texture, and moistness. Please include a recipe card with your entry. The main ingredient must consist of either Krusteaz or Sunflower products. Visit Hopkinsville carries both Sunflower Corn Meal and Krusteaz products!

Get ready to bring your A-game and impress the judges! We look forward to seeing everyone downtown at Founders Square for this amazing event! Best of luck to all chili and cornbread participants!

The weather was a bit crisp this morning, but overall, WHAT A SPECTACULAR DAY FOR HOPTOWN’S HALF MARATHON AND 5K! It just doesn’t get any “battter” than this!
Thanks to Hopkinsville Parks & Recreation, Dyslexia Association of the Pennyrile and Kiwanis of Hopkinsville for their contributions towards todays race!
Everyone is a winner in my book! Have a wonderful weekend! Get out and enjoy this weather.
