Word of the day... OBSESSED!! Would you use it in a sentence? Absolutely! I'm OBSESSED with Camo Caravan!
It's like a squirrel hoarding acorns, but instead of nuts, I'm stockpiling anticipation for that Camo Caravan box. The wait is agonizing, like a child on Christmas Eve, except instead of Santa, I'm waiting for a greasy, cheesy miracle. When that box finally arrives, it's like a symphony of deliciousness. The aroma alone is enough to make a grown man weep with joy. And then, the moment of truth – opening that box and gazing upon the mountain of fried goodness, a cascade of cheese. I lose all control. I become a human vacuum cleaner, inhaling every last bite. I can't quit you, Camo! You're the reason I have to wear stretchy pants. Thank you for this glorious, greasy, obsession!

Meet Darwin and Harlan Rostkowski! These two brothers love everything cryptic and paranormal. Together with mom and dad, Heather and Ted, they travel all over the world searching for the strange and mysterious! They even named themselves the Cryptkowski Brothers! How cool is that!? They stopped by Visit Hopkinsville to learn all about the Kelly Little Green Men and even interviewed Amy for their YouTube channel. These boys will be famous one day and we can’t wait to see them again in the future! 👽

There was a great crowd present for the Fisk Jubilee Singers performance 🎶. Angelic voices filled The Alhambra. It was so fitting for MLK Day❤️.
They're an American acappella ensemble comprised of students at Fisk University in Nashville, TN, who sing and travel worldwide. Alhambra Theatre
It was a spectacular show.

Students from CCPS were also present and awarded for their drawings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
We have some very talented young men and women in our schools.🖌️ Keep up the great work!

Today, we pause to honor the extraordinary life and enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His courageous journey illuminated a path toward equality and justice for African Americans, opening doors to opportunities that had long been denied. He embodied the very essence of freedom, faith, and fairness, inspiring a nation to strive for a better future.

It's vital that we never forget the immense sacrifices he and so many others made in the struggle for civil rights. Their dedication paved the way for the progress we see today, and their stories serve as a powerful reminder of the work that remains.

As we face the complexities and challenges of our modern world, we can draw strength from Dr. King's unwavering commitment to nonviolence and his belief in the power of love. The MLK March scheduled for tomorrow morning is CANCELLED due to the forecast for extremely low temperatures! The program WILL take place at Hopkinsville Community College. Doors will open at 9:30am and the program will begin at 10:00am.

The School Challenge sponsored by Tom Bell State Farm will now take place at HCC. Students are asked to check in with Mr. Bell upon arrival.

Awards for the MLK Art Contest will be presented at the Alhambra just before the Fisk Jubilee Singers performance at 2:00pm.

Follow the Human Rights Commission Hopkinsville-Christian County for the march from Freedom Elementary to the Hopkinsville Community College in honor of Dr. King. Also, check out the Alhambra Theatre for The Fisk Jubilee Singers at 2:00pm. The HRC will also be doing their awards ceremony for the MLK Day Art Contest before the concert. So many ways to honor, the late, great American.
