🌿 Blue Heron Landing: Mid-Season Update 🌿

We're halfway through our touring season, and the excitement continues! We've had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people from across the country and around the world. For those of us lucky enough to live near the Horicon Marsh, it's easy to take its beauty and history for granted. But visitors travel far and wide to experience the charm and heritage that our city of Horicon has to offer.

Did you know? The Horicon Marsh is the second-largest cattail marsh in the world, the largest in the United States, and a designated Wetland of International Importance. We're also proud to receive so many compliments on how clean and friendly our town is—something we can all take pride in.

Every day on the Horicon Marsh brings something new, and no two tours are the same. Join us for our one-hour sightseeing tours, departing daily at 11 AM and 1 PM, Wednesday through Saturday. On Sunday mornings, we offer a two-hour Birding Tour at 9 AM and a one-hour sightseeing tour at 1 PM.

Packers Legend to Visit Blue Heron Landing!
Blue Heron Landing is thrilled to host Super Bowl ###I champion and Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer, Chris Jacke, for a public meet and greet on Sunday, August 11, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Come meet Chris Jacke, get your Packers items signed, and take pictures with the legendary player! You might even get a chance to try on his Super Bowl ring!
The Blue Heron Landing Lounge will be open for refreshments, while all food will be served from an outside event tent. Grilled pork sandwiches and sweet corn will be available starting at 12:00 PM.
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet a football legend and enjoy some great food!

Packers Legend to visit Blue Heron Landing!!

Blue Heron Landing is excited to host Super Bowl ###I champion and Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer, Chris Jacke, for a public meet and greet on Sunday, August 11 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. He will be signing your Packers items and taking pictures with fans! He may even let you try on his Super Bowl ring!!!

The Blue Heron Landing Lounge will be open for refreshments, but all food will be served from an outside event tent. Grilled pork sandwiches and sweet corn will be available starting at 12:00 PM.
Don't miss this chance to meet a football legend and enjoy some great food!

Individuals and small groups can book a tour online. Big groups or group events please call 920-643-7072 to plan.
In support of the 2024 Horicon Marsh Bird Festival, extra Birding Adventure Tours are open for reservation the weekend of May 10 – 13.

Well, just like that, our first tour season has come to an end. All be it a short one with the delay receiving our pontoon boat. We are grateful it arrived when it did. Yeah!
Some decided to try the new Mud Boat Adventure tours. This tour was well received. All truly enjoyed themselves (even the little peeps).
Many wonderful people visited this season, we learned a lot, and know all enjoyed their visit to the beautiful Horicon Marsh.
Troy and I are looking forward to sharing next season with old faces and plenty of new ones. Keep in touch throughout this off season as new ideas and updates on the Landing Lounge are revealed.

GOOD NEWS! The Blue Heron Landing will keep tours rolling for another two weeks. The tours will depart daily at 11AM Wed-Sun. Reservations will only be available online at horiconmarsh.com. There won’t be anyone at the office to answer phone calls. The plan is to watch the 10-day forecast and keep the tours going as long as we can. This will allow more opportunity to witness the migration activities of Autumn 2023.

Updates from The Blue Heron Landing:
The pontoon started running 24Aug and hasn’t stopped. In addition to our 1pm daily tours, we had Sunday morning Birding adventure tours and Saturday evening sunset cruises.
The Birding Tours and the Sunset Cruises are done for the season. Instead, we offer Autumn Sightseeing tours departing Daily at 1PM Wednesday – Friday. 10AM, 1PM and 3PM Saturday and Sunday. Reservations are strongly recommended as the boat fills up fast lately.
Tours will continue to run until 13Oct. It is best to call 920-643-7072 or email- [email protected] to make reservations. We do have a website (horiconmarsh.com) but it is still a work in progress.
Note: We will accommodate tours for groups of 10 or more people outside the scheduled Autumn sightseeing tours, please call the office to make those arrangements.
