With an abundant population of game animals, hunters from around the world come to duck hunt in Stuttgart, trout fish the White River, and hook a trophy hybrid bass on Lake Ouachita. Other natural wonders of the state include some of the worlds’ finest quartz crystals (here in the Ouachita region) and the only diamond mine open to the public (near Murfreesboro).

And sitting at the heart of the state, Hot Springs Village is in the center of it all!

Pinnacle Mountain State Park

Spend the afternoon at one of Arkansas' prettiest spots. Rising more than 1,000 feet above the Arkansas River Valley, the cone-shaped peak of Pinnacle Mountain is a central Arkansas landmark. Besides the more than 40 miles of hiking trails, there are also the Arkansas Arboretum, a playground, and plenty of picnic tables.

Want to become a better angler? 🎣 Next month, you have a chance to learn from some of the best! On Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 8:30 am, join the HSV Angler’s Club, Lakes, and Parks & Recreation for their Angler's Club Fishing Seminar at the Coronado Community Center.

Brad Meredith, POA Lakes & Ecology manager, will present an overview of all Village lakes. Techniques for catching Crappie and bream will be presented by Bill Goodwin who has over 50 years’ experience in the fishing tackle industry. Dave Keith, eleven-time Angler of The Year and twelve-time Fisherman of The Year, will discuss techniques he uses to catch bass. Attendees will receive packets of many of the baits discussed (valued at near or more than the cost of a ticket) plus door prizes will be awarded at the end of the session. Demos on Lake Coronado at the end of the seminar (weather permitting). The class is limited to 60 students. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at hsvticketsales.com.

Balboa Golf Course, ranked 7th of the top ten courses in Arkansas, is a walker-friendly course with wider fairways and fewer elevation changes than other Hot Springs Village courses. Balboa is considered one of the most challenging courses in the Village. The combination of water hazards and bunkers requires a strategic plan to save par, and it has quite a collection of tricky par 3s.
