The leaves are changing, the weather is cooler, and the days are shorter. That can only mean one thing- fall is here!

Some things to keep in mind for a fall visit to Hot Springs National Park:

🍂Want to peep some leaves? Peak fall foliage is typically at the end of October to early November. You can call the park information line (501-620-6715) for any updates on fall colors in the park.

🍂The name of the season is fall. That doesn't mean you should. Watch out for slippery leaves.

🍂Leaves are best observed from sidewalks and trails, not the driver's seat. Pay attention while behind the wheel.

🍂Ranger led programs are available at the Fordyce Visitor Center. Stop and have a chat with the rangers there- they won't leaf you hanging on things to do in the park!

🍂🥾 Fall color has really started to PEEK out in Hot Springs National Park! USA Today ranked Hot Springs as the #3 Best Destination in America for Fall Foliage, which means it's time to plan your visit to see fall colors! 🚗

Cooler weather has arrived and while there's still a lot of green to be seen on the trees, pops of fall foliage can be found throughout town. It's the perfect time to lace up your hiking boots and hit the trails, like the Peak Trail in Hot Springs National Park. From the Fordyce Bathhouse, follow the stairs up behind the Shell Fountain, then follow the Grand Promenade to the left, and you'll see the trailhead on the right-hand side. Peak Trail is a moderate hike around 0.6 miles long leading directly to the Hot Springs Mountain Tower - offering a 360 degree view of Hot Springs and the surrounding Ouachita Mountains, a breathtaking sight in the fall.
