***Changes To Travel in 2025***
1. UK Will Require Prior Authorization to Visit in 2025
Traveling to—or through—the United Kingdom will cost Americans an extra $12.50 per person and a little more time completing paperwork beginning Jan. 8, 2025.

2.Passport Processing Delays
Current U.S. State Department estimates place routine processing at 4-6 weeks.

3. Some resorts have introduced a limit on alcoholic beverages for guests at specific all-inclusive resorts. Under the “six-drink rule,” guests can consume no more than six alcoholic drinks per day.

4. REAL ID Enforcement – May 7, 2025
The TSA’s REAL ID requirement will officially take effect on May 7, 2025. Only REAL ID-compliant driver’s licenses or identification cards, identifiable by a star or other marking on the top portion of the card, will be accepted at airport security checkpoints.

Fiji Airways has announced the introduction of the first ever non-stop flights between Nadi, Fiji and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Texas, USA commencing in December 2024*.

Online passport renewal is back, but only for a limited number of applicants and a limited period of time.

The State Department reopened the online renewal portal this week, which will accept a limited number of daily applicants. The program will run during the next several months, the State Department said, so it can monitor the system's performance, calling it a beta release that is a standard part of the software development process.

The portal will open every day at midday and accept a limited number of applications, an amount that was not disclosed. Among the requirements to apply online are that the passport being renewed was valid for 10 years; applicants are 25 or older; and no travel is expected for at least 8 weeks from the date of application as the program does not offer expedited processing.
