Sage Oasis is a permaculture garden retreat center with a variety of lodging options located just outside the town of Hot Springs, Montana, an area known for its sweeping high desert views and unique mineral-rich hot soaking options. Sage Oasis is evolving as a model of self-sufficient living in support of personal health and wellbeing at the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. The
Sage Oasis property contains 101 acres in a mix of dry rangelands, wetlands, wildlife habitat, and a permaculture garden. The site hosts a large metal barn with shop space and two apartments that can double as a meeting space if necessary. There are two Amish-built sheds on the property, which have been converted to sleeping cabins; one with electricity and a small wood stove, the other with an old-fashioned wood cookstove and off-grid solar and wind power. Also included are two comfort-camping bell tents on redwood foundations, an outdoor solar shower, a composting toilet, two outdoor kitchens, and a fire pit. Currently, in its final stages of construction, a glassed-in outdoor gazebo will host an earthen floor to provide an intimate gathering space for truly grounded meditation/yoga and quiet contemplation. Our location:
We are located midway between Missoula and Kalispell, hot mineral soaks just minutes away in the Hot Springs valley of western Montana. It is 30 minutes from Flathead Lake, 45 minutes to the National Bison Range, and under two hours to Glacier National Park.
