This will make you smile, I promise. This momma is so loving.

Pretty amazing amounts of water coming down the waterfall yesterday. Today it is clear and beautiful! It drains these hills pretty quickly.

Ahhhh the magical summer days at Max Patch............

This is our hike to Cat Pens bald today. It includes a great view of Max Patch from across the mountains. We found lots of gifts along the way on the springlike day in the Southern Appalachians. Such a great day to be outdoors.

I love it when the creek freezes up here. It is magical.

The Elk are coming back!

The Elk are coming! It is so exciting that the herd is spreading up behind our place. These are living at Harmon Den. We welcome them back to our mountain. Dandy is VERY excited. She behaved herself well.

This is what it is like at Dancing Sun Cabins when it snows. It is so peaceful...........................

The water is flowing up in these hills. This is the the headwaters of the French Broad River. It's quite a rush!
