Now that 2026 Walt Disney World vacations are officially open for booking, one of the biggest questions I’m getting is: “Which Disney resort should we choose?”

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, every family is different and why I require a phone consultation so I can talk you through it!

Some are looking for budget-friendly options, others want to be close to the parks, and many want more space or the comforts of home.

So let’s dive into the different resort categories to help you decide what might be the best fit:

💸 Value Resorts – Great for families wanting Disney magic on a budget. Expect bold theming, fun pools, and quick-service dining.

Some Examples: Disney's Pop Century, Art of Animation, All-Star Resorts

Transportation: Mostly buses, but Pop Century and Art of Animation also have Skyliner access!

🌴 Moderate Resorts – A solid balance of affordability and amenities. You’ll get more spacious rooms, beautifully themed grounds, and extra features like water slides at the pools.

Examples: Disney's Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans -Riverside, Coronado Springs

Transportation: Primarily buses, with Caribbean Beach on the Skyliner too!

🏨 Deluxe Resorts – Perfect if you want to be closer to the parks with premium amenities, upscale dining, and immersive theming. Many are within walking distance or have monorail or boat access.

Examples: Disney's Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian Village, Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn

Transportation: Includes monorail, walking paths, boats, buses, and some Skyliner access.

🏡 Deluxe Villas – Ideal for larger families or longer stays. Villas come with full kitchens, laundry, and multiple bedrooms, making it a home away from home!

Examples: Disney's Riviera, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs

Transportation: Varies by resort, includes monorail, Skyliner, boats, and buses.

✨I can’t believe I get to say this… but in just a few short weeks, I’ve been invited to be one of the very first to preview Universal Orlando’s brand new Epic Universe! 💫 🌎 ✨

This is such an iconic moment in theme park history, and I’m beyond excited to step into this next-level experience!

The part I’m most looking forward to? Isle of Berk! 🐉 My boys are now 18 and 20, but we watched How to Train Your Dragon together when they were little 🥹 and those memories still mean the world to me. Getting to see Toothless in real life? Absolutely at the top of my list! 😍🩷

🎢 And of course, I have to find out for myself if Stardust Racers really is better than VelociCoaster. (I’m ready to put it to the test!)
