To our growing and humble Tribe 🦋. It’s been a quiet but reflective and therapeutic couple of months, and we’re gearing up for Fall. Trust that silence or our closed doors is our most productive times as this is where our founder gets her inspiration, motivation and Divine Direction. It is in silence that we hear the word of the Almighty as He guides us through these challenging times.

There is no secret that our business has suffered losses because of known criminals in town. That we’ve been blocked by select city officials. Made to pay more fees and fines, jump through more hoops than others. Face predatory acts by the group of goons and even businesses who report to the same snake - and we’re talking about service providers too.

We have been followed, stalked, hacked and harassed. We’ve had to issue Criminal Trespassing warnings and watch as the police department change diapers for whining bullies. We’ve had our ideas stolen, distributed and plagiarized. We’ve seen Christians fall to greed and division. We’ve seen contractor after contractor paid or scared straight off our projects every time we’ve tried to pivot.

We’ve seen them use allies to cripple us from within via vandalism and sabotage. We’ve seen it all, and it will never be over BUT, we know our enemy. Our enemy feed on fear and division. Feed on hopelessness and confusion BUT we bow to only one God, and He has stated that our journey is not over in Crockett.

That said, bear with us as we regroup. Reassemble and strategize. This “collective”’s idea was to stop ANY winning business brought forth by a person of color. It too, was the mission of theirs to stop ANY BUSINESS from profiting in “that building”. The same building we found confederate flags in while cleaning. The same building persons of color were told they’d never own.

Smoke & Flour, Whitley’s Thrift & Femme Tribe’s Farmer’s Market are ideas that scared those who believe they own the people, land and minds in Crockett. This collective as we like to call it, were afraid of our business thriving, growing and its potential to bring wise and educated people to town, which would have only uncovered much more that what meets the eyes. The drugs, corruption, racial discrimination and trafficking of all kinds.

Make no mistake; every action to block us has only opened a new door of opportunity to grow even larger than Crockett. It has also uncovered almost perfectly for investigators, a well-oiled criminal operation, and uncovered the beasts that govern this seemingly sleepy town. In other words, our challenges have only uncovered more opportunity to do God’s work so, we welcome it. No weapons formed against God’s people can prosper - IT WON’T WORK‼️

Thanks for supporting us in your prayers. In your kind words of encouragement. This isn’t a battle that many can continue but we will do it in their names - the ones past and the generation infront of us that will benefit from this act of courage to do what’s right for the community. We love you Crockett. We truly want this town to represent the needs and wants of everyone not just a few. Trust as we fight this battle to bring great food, the arts and ole school entertainment fit for the young and old back to the streets of Crockett - namaste 🦋

The path to justice starts small. It’s a modest and humbling journey that can only require time, patience and Faith. More to come Crockett 🙏

Today the Texas Real Estate Commission confirmed both my business partner & I were right about one part of our complaints. That’s all that matters. Two women of God, stood up and raised our hands when we knew a transaction was wrong from the jump. I gaslit myself so hard that I even went back to school to get my , so I could MAKE SURE that my suspicions were founded in fact and today, they were vindicated.

The journey to justice in Crockett has only just begun but as of today, getting a “No you weren’t off”, is the motivation needed. Justice may take a hot minute, but that’s why you turn to God. He didn’t abandon the and before the Red Sea. He does not lie. He does not create illusions to gaslight His people into a promise of reconning and freedom that isn’t tangible. He is REAL, always has been, and always will be. Again, the journey to Justice in Crockett has only just begun, but not one single stone would go unturned - as it is written so it shall be‼️ - namaste 🦋🧘🏾

Looking forward to sharing this experience with the world 🌎🦋🧘

Heading to the bush as a woman is liberating. It’s freeing. You lose all fear as it lays on the outskirts in wait as you regain your true nature among the ancient trees and shrubs. I am in my element there - no makeup, no nails, no weave, no behaviors that I’ve had to ingest over the course of 36 years. There I’m a woman with a child’s heart. I’m an old soul. I’m curious. I’m silent and I’m observant of everything, becoming one with God 🧘🏾.

Here we are taking a break from “bushing” to watch the sunrise. This is the highest peak of the forest where my uncles and I are toiling away at our nature camp. It’s here where we gaze at the stars. Where I first saw the with the naked eye. It’s where I felt closest to God, and my ancestors - especially my father. He also loved the bush when he were still alive 🕊️

Our bush retreat would be intimate, no frills, but healing - like the food we tend to conjure with whatever the land gives us. The gentleman pictured here will help us with , I with and , my uncle with the fiya pots that only he can whip up.

This is just some of what we would like to offer. Again, in the privacy of our little hideaway. Preferably no phones. Most definitely no clocks. Just you, us as facilitators and nature in all her splendor - namaste 🦋🧘🏾

Every year during the annual members awards banquet, the board at the Crockett Area Chamber of Commerce vote on some businesses that they consider “rising stars” ⭐️. This year my company Femme Tribe Tours received this recognition for community impact.

I wasn’t fortunate to receive this in person because of travels, but I’m grateful nonetheless! 🙏🏽 The work in Crockett really hasn’t kicked off as I would have liked, but it’s important that folks and organizations have identified the intention - which is only to bring legit commerce to the area! Both my partner Pam at at Crockett Pack n Ship & I wish to give folks great service and hope, that this community like other neighboring towns, will become prosperous with lots of small businesses for residents to choose from 🤗🦋

The other three winners included Starbucks, Shoe Sensation, and Lonestar 3D printing. If y’all are passing through this tiny town with big dreams, stop by these establishments which, as far as I’m aware, all help support the local economy by giving great service and opportunities to the underserved (plus sales tax dollars!)🤗

Ostuni, like many cities in are teaming with up & coming restaurants and elegant lounging. It’s the place where the rich and famous have traveled and nestled for decades, but it’s still incredibly affordable compared to the more visited regions in 🇮🇹

There’s been a ton of safety concerns in and despite us making significant headways, we know that folks will continue to press on their agendas to intimidate us out of Crockett.

While this can seem like a non-threatening act, parking a vehicle at an establishment for an entire day, without once entering the compound is suspicious. We don’t know the owner or driver, and continue to ask the public’s support to only park at our building if using services from The Shops on Goliad (Crockett Pack n Ship & Whitley’s Thrift Shop).

We’ve been monitoring this location for months, and this vehicle parked, blocking the entrance to our causes suspicion.

To the folks in the community who share their concerns and provide photos. Thank you! We know that you’ve got our backs and are only just looking out for doing good for the community 🙏

Happy Sunday to our growing Tribe 🦋 Sending God’s light and Love to those who, for whatever reason are facing hardship at the hands of others.

Today we’ve experienced the second of two direct attacks to personal property, and while an inconvenience, we announce that our owner, and building remains safe and unharmed.

To those who are emboldened to act on hate, please keep in mind that we love you 🙏. We, despite an incorrect narrative, have been sent to Crockett to usher in improvements that have already begun to positively impact the lives of many. This is more than enough motivation to keep it going - intimidation works on the feeble mind and restless souls but we only fear Him, and not man.

You may have been able to silence the underserved in the past, but the difference between the past and present is the presence of God. He shall, without fail, step in and swipe down on the wicked, the tormented and hurting. He will silence those who send out these attacks in ways that are mentally, physically and emotionally numbing. We pray, every single day that folks will heed that who God blesses, no man can curse. Not even the most expansive and well funded networks of unscrupulous participants can succeed.

Again this is our calling, to do God’s work in the face of hostility and difficulty because we are certain this is what He has ordained 🙏

Powerful 🦋 ‼️ Residents of Crockett - you deserve better 🙏

Push your Chief of Police to aggressively pursue the criminal investigation into the wrongful tampering and barricading of our building’s AC unit. The suspect has since been served a Criminal Trespassing warning, yet told the Chief directly that he would restrain our owner if she were to access her asset (which functioned and was not in dispute at time of the purchase of the building).

Texas is experiencing record heat at this time, and one of our tenants has already had to take medical leave to attend to her health after spending weeks in smothering heat. There are also tangible evidence to provide but we need commitment and assurance that this process will be fair and thorough.

Dear growing Tribe, there has been a whirlwind of activities that really have proven to us that the humanitarian efforts in Crockett may not necessarily be for the living only, but also for those who have marched and fought before us 🕊️

Those Americans are also who we keep our building open for. The ones who loved God fiercely, the ones who knew and PRACTICED the Bible. The ones who knew the land. The ones who knew morals. They practiced respect for elders, neighbors, teachers. They cared. They respected and believed in something, which helped maintain a societal equilibrium that though imperfect, helped keep us smiling and loving each other. They did so much more than we have, or do today.

We have had waves of individuals from all walks of life, genders, ages, faiths, socioeconomic standing, all of them, due to a system of oppression, show that they too help keep this system of hate alive. They too, without knowing the full scale of their seemingly simple actions, contribute to creating unsafe conditions for operating our legitimate business.

It’s been 4 weeks of attacks that are under the cover of IT and sometimes darkness, seemingly poor etiquette or civil, but when combined with a collective and singular motive, these actions become criminal/ illegal. This includes sending multiple men to our shop to “case” around. Sending others to photograph our female owners in and around the building, or having our owners followed to their homes.

This, despite what many wish to see it as, isn’t just discrimination against minority women and military families, but simply a demonstration of social leadership in Crockett, which seems furthest from God despite the publicized narrative and countless religious/humanitarian movements. The part that’s most disheartening, is the fact that so many residents have agreed with our observation - and we’ve only been here for a total of 4 years collectively. These locals KNOW of the issues and all the players, but didn’t quite understand how it was all happening - that is until now‼️We also understand why many had been kept in the dark this long because it is very difficult to articulate this form of oppression without experience and education. The elderly are also disproportionately impacted due to their inability to keep up with changing technology, leaving them wide open to the predators we have been encountering.

This post is far from victimhood, but instead demonstrates resilience in the face of the enemy. It shows leadership in a cesspool of many misguided. We, proud women of God, and the ones unnamed will lead this effort with Love - which is the only avenue the Almighty allows us. The building at the center of this, which has stirred up so much sentiment despite the community enhancement, will not be seized, sold or bartered. There are mechanisms in place to allow this to remain in the owner’s estate for 100 years 🦋.

The alternative to demonstrating this calm despite the brewing storm of misdirected emotions, is chaos. Chaos, for any businessperson means disruption of operations and a direct impact to the bottom line. Our goal is to operate profitably in Crockett as any other business should be given the chance to, and we also want to allow competition for others to be able to launch their own dreams and earn a decent living. We want the community to have options, tourism and commerce. It benefits everyone in the long run, and gives folks a reason to stick around town - especially the young folk.

This is why Love & unity is the only answer.

Till then, we remain grounded, side by side, two very different business owners (demographically, politically), but united by one thing only - revere to God the Almighty.

The attempts are getting more desperate to steer us off our paths of righteousness, but it’s impossible to change course when God is at the helm. We, like many other silent POG (people of God) in Crockett ‘stumbled’ upon this town to help tear the veil of evil that has choked the residents here for far too long.

The people are rising up, using modern day technology, using education, the Law and their infinite skills and networks beyond the reaches of those who have never left here, to combat what are only to be considered low vibrational scare tactics and desperate dashes for presumed power.

Remember though that nothing built on lies and deceit holds place in the kingdom of God. Your churches will crumble. Your businesss will close. Your families will suffer fates only those who are of faith could explain.

We have seen how each time an attempt is made to thwart our economic progress that GOD steps in, blocks, casts down, slashes, burns and overturns. He increases our foot traffic. He sends us investors. He sends donations, grants. Flowers. A prayer. A postcard.
The rage expressed to Mrs. Slate for supporting and defending the rights of underprivileged residents in Crockett is tearing off a scab that was perfectly expressed in the award winning novel “To Kill a Mockingbird”. This unexplainable rage and hate runs deep, has nothing to do with her, but everything to do with what she stands for and for who - we believe these men and women truly hate God.

This is a warning to those who do not fear Him. We…His humble servants won’t lift a finger in defense unless our lives are threatened, but we stand on faith that He will, and continues to manage all the heavy lifting for us. His accuracy and timing is legendary - take heed 🙏.

Update:
Criminal trespassing filed and served. Thanks Crockett PD & the other community leaders for coming together on this.

Though we have been threatened to not inspect or have others inspect our AC condenser unit which is seated within our property line, we feel safer now that this has been filed and served, and we will, once safety is secured, continue to pursue protection and relief using the full extents of the Law.

This shows leadership as men and as public servants, and I hope your residents who all have put you into office are proud of you not just today, but since we’ve been calling on you all for local support. You all deserve recognition for stepping in without hesitation to ensure we feel safe despite the continued threats for just providing the community NEEDED services 🙏 God bless you all.

At this current moment neither we nor police can determine specific locafion. In any event, this situation has definitely gone past the threshold of what is considered safe, and we’re working closely with Crockett PD & Crockett’s Fire Department to diffuse this situation as quickly as possible. We will continue to provide updates (anectodal and factual) so that our loved ones and clients are kept abreast of the situation in real time.

Update:
We are working with Crockett PD to file a restraining order against the owner of Whitehead Electric who has since locked himself in his establishment & refuses to respond to officers outside.

A restraining order will also be filed against the individuals (young male and female) who entered and “scouted” the our tenant’s establishment then bolted out the door.

Lastly, another order will be filed against Mr Reed (or at least someone posing as him), who called earlier and threatened the owner of Crockett's Pack N Ship to cease her operations.

This is the situation in Crockett Texas where women are attacked for conducting legitimate businesses. For speaking our truths and sharing love to the world. This is what life without God looks like - please pray for these men 🙏
