There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.—Ecclesiastes 7:20
We're all broken, flawed, and tainted (Romans 3:9-11, 23-24). Or, at least, that is what we were before God saved us, the Spirit sanctified us, and Jesus brought us into his family (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Praise God! Praise God because of his grace. Praise God for the work of Jesus. Praise God for the presence of the Holy Spirit. Because of these, we can stand before God holy, without blemish, and free from accusation, Hallelujah (Colossians 1:22).
Forgiving Father and Holy God, thank you for redeeming me from my sinful ways through the loving self-sacrifice of Jesus. Thank you for empowering me to become more like him by the transforming power of your Holy Spirit. Thank you for helping me become more than I could ever be through your grace than I could ever be through my own efforts. Thank you, dear God, for saving me from sin, ransoming me from guilt, and redeeming me to share in your glory. In Jesus' name, I praise you. Amen.
God loves you and so do I.
Deacon.
Happy, God is faithful, Wednesday.

Broken!
I was in Dollar Tree last night, and there was a lady and two kids behind me in the LONG line. One was a big kid, and the other one was a toddler. The bigger one had a pack of glow sticks, and the toddler was screaming for them. The Mom opened the pack and gave him one which stopped his tears. He walked around with it smiling; but then the bigger boy took it, and the toddler started screaming again. Just as the Mom was about to fuss, the older child bent the glow stick and handed it back to the toddler. As we walked outside at the same time, the toddler noticed that the stick was now glowing; and his brother said, "I had to break it so that you could get the full effect from it."
I almost ran, because l could hear God saying to me, "I had to break you to show you why I created you. You had to go through it so you could fulfill your purpose."
That precious child was happy just swinging that "unbroken" glow stick around in the air, because he didn't understand what it was created to do - which was "glow".
There are some people who will be content just "being," but some of us are chosen... we have to be "broken."
We have to get sick.
We have to lose a job.
We go through a divorce.
We have to bury our spouse, parents, best friend, or our child...
In those moments of desperation, We were broken. But... when the breaking is done, then we will be able to see the reason for which we were created. So when you see us glowing, just know that we have been broken.

Copied and Pasted! 🥰

Praise the Lord everybody. Praise the Lord, Facebook family and beloved of God. First of all my heartfelt prayers and condolences goes out to the family of the victims at Trump rally. And for those injured. Secondly, I have watched the aledged assassination attempt on former President Trump life. And my conclusion is it was staged. Planned. A sad attempt to stir up his supporters. To increase his base and platform heading next week to the Republicans convention. Was it a lucky miss.A close call. Or a staged production. Either way as always, Trump is taking advantage of it. Really assassination attempt or political ploy. You decide.
God loved you and so do I.

Praise the Lord, everybody, praise the Lord, on this brand new day, right now, right where you are. Yes it is true as a Baptized, born again believer and follower of Jesus Christ, and the word of God, through His Holy Spirit, we all should be waiting for the sound of the trumpet, signaling the return of Jesus Christ for His people. Oh what a great day. BUT, until that day we remain citizens of these great United States of America. And what happens and changes in the government does affect our daily lives as well. Beloved of God, the Word of God tells us that we parish from a lack of knowledge. How can that be in this age of technology and social media, information is all around us, but we must know that we need to gain this information for ourselves. Not letting others tell you and I what is good for us, or as followers of Christ we show not be concerned with political and social and community issues. That we should not vote. Yes we are to obey and live according to governmental ruling and recognize its authority, but the Word tells us to be watchful as well as prayerful. To inspect their fruits to find the truth. To not lean on our own understanding, but attain wisdom that leads to knowledge, that leads to power.
Beloved of God, take an interest in finding out more about Project 2025. It is real. It is a threat to all of humanity. It will separate down the middle of the fabric of society. With you and I losing health benefits, losing jobs, cuts in teachers just to name a few of the serious dangers ahead. Taking us back to the Ronald Reagan administration. This project will give Trump, if elected all the power he would need to implement many of his campaign promises and reverse the direction and accomplishments that this country has been proud of for generations. One example to make changes the Constitution. To give accessive power to the president. It will certainly be hell here on earth for us if this happens.
Gird of your loins with information, and knowledge which leads to power. Having the right to vote is power. That's why they are trying to take that right away, from you and I. Put yourself in the position to make the right decision and choices for you and your family, their family. Lack of knowledge keeps us in the dark. Wisdom and knowledge sheds light on the truth. You decide which side of the fence you will be on. Stand strong. Stand for what's right. A vote for Trump will not benefit you and I.
God loves you and so do I.
Deacon.

Project 2025. What does it mean to the real American people? You and I. Wake up. Read. Be aware. And vote no to Trump. Yes to Democracy.
God loves the USA, and so do I.
Deacon.
Posted by Keith Glendenpage:
Having read my way through a fair bit so far, and sought to understand the plans underway by a well-orchestrated machine of non-democratic revisionism….

My impression thus far is that if this ball is started rolling, the United States will no longer be a place even theoretically aimed at equal rights, at prosperity for all, at the right to the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness - except for those with the ‘right’ sets of beliefs and / or those willing to comply.

If only there were such energy and focus being put forth to build an America for All and to honor the values and the vision that so many have toiled, fought, and given their lives for.

I do think this country needs a return to bipartisan cooperation and absolutely there are areas in which conservative policies are needed.

But this… this is an entire dismantling of our nation’s core and a transformation into something we will never recognize as the United States again.

Every voter should understand this….. because this is what is truly being voted on in November. And this is only what’s being shared publicly…..

O Lord my God, I take refuge in you; save and deliver me from all who pursue me...—Psalm 7:1
Who or what is pursuing you? Is it a past mistake? Is it an old enemy? Is it an addiction in your life that is dragging you down? Is it your conscience? Is it a nagging sense of guilt? Is it someone who wants to do you physical harm? Is it a physical illness? Is it a lingering sense of dread or an uncertainty about your future? We have many things that we can fear and feel — a lingering sense that these things we dread are pursuing us. So the bigger question is: Where do we go to find peace and security amid all the storms and struggles of life? There is only One who can be a true and lasting refuge. Just One: The Lord God! And this One Lord longs to deliver and save you if you take refuge in him!
Father God, you are my refuge and source of strength. This is especially true when my courage is gone, and my soul is weary. Please, dear Father, destroy all the forces and powers and enemies that pursue me and seek to take me captive and draw me away from you. In Jesus' name, I confidently pray that you are my refuge. Amen.
This is one of the opportunity you have to give your life to Jesus Christ, tomorrow may be too late
Welcome to a Glorious New month of July, and the beginning of a brand new week, serving and rejoicing in the same God.
God loves you and so do I.
Deacon.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.—Romans 6:23 If we get paid what we deserve as flawed and sinful humans, we're not going to like our wages when we stand before God, trying to plead our case. On the other hand, God, who is rich in mercy and grace, gives us his gift of salvation because of the sacrifice of Jesus and our faith in him. We won't get what we deserve or receive the cruel wages of sin if Christ is our Lord and Savior. He died to pay that debt, that wage of sin and death. Instead, we will receive the gift of eternal life in the glorious presence of God and his holy angels. I don't know about you, but that makes me want to serve him more passionately and faithfully!
Glorious and gracious Father, holy and perfect in every way, thank you for your sacrificial grace, which bridges the great gulf between your perfect righteousness and my imperfection and sinfulness. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. May my mortal life be holy and pleasing to you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
God loves you and so do I.
Deacon.
Happy, Sunday, the Lord's day, and Sabbath to keep it Holy.

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.—Ephesians 6:4
In Malachi 4:6, God promised that fathers and children in God's coming Kingdom would be reunited in heart. Let's make that real in our homes today by nurturing and correcting our children, using a balance of nurture and correction. Let's not make our faith so full of rules and restrictions that it becomes impossible for our children to obey or hear that they are our beloved children, with whom we are well pleased! Let's not grant so much freedom, however, that our children feel neglected and uncertain about how to live in today's morally chaotic world. Let's turn our hearts toward them and pray for God to turn children's hearts toward their homes with us and our Father in heaven!
O Lord God Almighty, Abba Father, our land lies under a curse because many Fathers have spiritually and physically abandoned their children. Please raise up parents, especially fathers, daddies, who will balance the challenging tasks of love, nurture, and correction and heal our families so our children may know your love and grace. In Jesus' name, we beg you to help our fathers. Amen.
Father, teach your children to obey Your Commandments and to follow the examples Your Son, Jesus Christ, taught while He was on earth.
God loves you, and so do I.
Deacon

Peter continued the apostles' defense for proclaiming Jesus as Messiah and Lord. "The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead — whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree."—Acts 5:30
Peter is making clear that his faith in Jesus didn't just begin with Jesus. It began with God's promise to the Patriarchs, the great Jewish fathers. The God who blessed them also raised Jesus from the dead! These Jewish opponents threatening the early believers had made sure that Jesus had been executed in the most heinous and degrading way possible for a faithful Jew — he was nailed to a cross, hung on a pole in front of a jeering mob, something that was both illegal and a sign of being cursed under Jewish Law (Deuteronomy 21:23; Galatians 3:13). But God raised Jesus from the dead and exalted him and made him our Savior and our Lord (Acts 5:31). Praise God! No wonder Peter was bold in his defense.
Thank you, Father, for showing your power over evil, sin, hate, jealousy, scandals, curses, and death. In the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior, I offer my praise and thanksgiving as I commit to boldly proclaiming Jesus as my resurrected Lord and Savior. Amen.
On this Thankful Thursday, I am thankful for Jesus Christ and His faithfulness to His chosen and beloved of our God.
God loves you, and so do I.

Peter and the other apostles replied [to their religious critics among the Sadducees, priests, and Sanhedrin]: "We must obey God rather than men!"—Acts 5:29
Against a stern warning from the ruling council in Jerusalem, called the Sanhedrin, Peter and the other apostles proclaimed Jesus as Lord. This Sanhedrin is basically the same group that presented Jesus to the Romans to have the Savior crucified! However, Peter and the other apostles knew that Jesus had triumphed over the attempts of his enemies to extinguish him and his ministry. They chose to blatantly disobey the orders of the very same people who had Jesus crucified. By any standard, that is faithful courage. Their reason for this boldness? They had been sent by God, through Jesus, to proclaim the truth throughout the world, beginning in Jerusalem (Acts 1:8). Their actions challenge us to ask ourselves a question: How are we doing in standing up for Jesus in a culture dogmatically set against his will?
Lord God Almighty; please empower me through the work of your Spirit to be courageous in proclaiming the glorious truth about Jesus. I do not want to back down from my convictions or renounce my faith in Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.
"Let us all go tell on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born. And that He lives, so that I sins may be forgiven. Some believe in horses and chariots, but as for me, I will trust in the Lord.

But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.—Matthew 5:28
Living in a sexually supercharged world and facing the prevalence of po*******hy on the Internet and in today's media, how are you doing with this issue? Jesus challenges us to recognize that sin starts in our hearts and begins when we longingly seek what is not ours to have. While the world may think such rigorous guarding of our hearts as impossible or ridiculous, Jesus wants us to know he hates sexual sin — and the place it begins, the lust of our hearts — seriously.
Loving Father, give me the strength to resist sexual temptation, the wisdom to stay away from it, and the character to triumph over it. Purify my heart, O God, and make it yearn for what is holy and life-giving. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. "Follow me," Jesus said to him, and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.—Luke 5:27
After capturing the hearts of the crowd, Jesus now calls another disciple, Levi — also known as Matthew.
Father of all people, help us recognize the people you place in our paths today who are ready to know more about Jesus. Please give us the wisdom and the awareness to know when and how to speak with them about our Savior. We also ask, dear Father, for you to forgive us for the times we have come to a snap judgment about the unworthiness of some people who seem least likely to become disciples. We know that Jesus came to seek and save all who are lost, so please use the Holy Spirit to fashion our hearts to reflect the heart of our Lord and Savior, in whose name we pray. Amen.
May we all have a relationship with God.
God loves you, and so do I.
HAPPY VETERANS DAY TO ALL.

Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, "We have seen remarkable things today."—Luke 5:26
Jesus forgave a man who was lame and then showed he had the authority to forgive by healing him. As exciting and vital as this healing was, the most important thing was the reaction of those who witnessed it; they praised God out of amazement and awe. They recognized that Jesus had come to minister as God's very presence. When we understand who Jesus is and what he has done and will continue to do for us, we must do the same thing today — offer our praises with amazement and awe.
Almighty God and Heavenly Father, I glorify your name and thank you for the grace you so lavishly poured out on me through your Son and my Savior, Jesus, in whose name I offer this praise out of a heart filled with amazement and awe. Amen.
Happy Sunday, the Lord's Day, and Sabbath to keep it holy. Worship our King.

I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.—John 5:25
Aren't you glad that not even death can stop us from hearing Jesus' promised word to us: "RISE!"? We will hear his voice and live with him forever. Like Lazarus, we will come out of the grave and be free (John 11:32-44). Like the little girl Jesus took by the hand raised from the dead (Mark 5:35-42), we, too, will rise to life. Unlike Lazarus and the little girl, we will be free of death forever, alive to share in the Lord's presence and glory! Such hope lifts my spirit as I await our Lord's coming; how about you?
Thank you, Almighty God, that Jesus' resurrection demonstrated your power to destroy death. I have confidence in your Son's promises to return, to raise me from the dead if I die before his return, and to take me home to be with you. In the Savior's name and authority, I pray. Amen.
"Then I John saw the Holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from heaven."
Have a wonderful Saturday and a marvelous and safe weekend.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.—Galatians 5:24
When we became Christians, we died to the old person of sin and were raised up a new person. In baptism, we shared with Jesus in his death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-14) so that we can share in his victory over sin, death, Satan, and hell. Our lives are now securely joined to Jesus and his future glory (Colossians 2:12-15, 3:1-4). While we have battles with temptation and face trials in this world, we also now have the power of the resurrection and the Holy Spirit at work within us to help us overcome them (John 16:33) — to keep the old, dead, and sinful person buried as the new person awaits the arrival of our Lord and King, Jesus Christ.
Soon and very soon, we will be caught up to meet Him in the air.
God loves you, and so do I.

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.—1 Thessalonians 5:23
We have chosen our verses for this year to reflect the date. Today is May 23, so we found a passage that was from chapter 5 and verse 23, or 5:23. This way of choosing our "Verse of the Day" challenges us and blesses us to find verses we might otherwise overlook. "Today's Verse" is a blessing from the apostle Paul that we do not want to overlook! We know that true righteousness and holiness are perfectly possessed by only God. Amazingly, God uses his Spirit to make those qualities a growing reality in our lives when we yield to his leadership. Yesterday, we committed to let the Spirit work on maturing us in our weakest areas. Let's take an extra five or ten minutes sometime today, open God's Word, and read several passages of Scripture that apply to the character qualities we want to acquire — 2 Peter 1:2-11 is an excellent passage to help us. Let's ask God's Spirit to grow us in these areas to be more like Christ!
Dear Father, may Jesus come soon with grace and glory! May I be found blameless on that day, beloved Father, not by my power and effort but because of your transforming power at work within me. In Jesus' name, I ask this. Amen.
God loves you, beloved of God, and chosen.
Deacon.
Happy, "Thankful Thursday to all."

05/22/2024

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.—Galatians 5:22-23
Where the Holy Spirit's influence thrives, our human character is transformed, and we display spiritual fruit. This maturity isn't developed overnight. It is, however, noticeable over the long haul of life when a person pursues Jesus and reflects the Lord's righteous character, gracious compassion, and faithful lovingkindness. So, what fruit does the Spirit bring alive in your life? In what ways have you matured to become more like Christ? In what areas do you want the Spirit to exercise greater control? Why not take a moment and consciously yield those areas in which you struggle to the Lord as we pray?
Almighty and ever-present Father, we thank you for empowering positive changes in our lives as we seek to be more like Jesus. Please bring the fruit of the Holy Spirit to full maturity in our lives. You know where we continue to struggle with sin. We intentionally turn over those parts of our lives to your Spirit to redeem and fully sanctify us so the Spirit will continue to transform us to be more like our Savior. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Jesus is so excellent and awesome in all He does and in all His ways.
God loves you, and so do I.

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.—2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus was perfect, spotless, holy, righteous, and clean. Yet he became what he hated: sin. He did that on the cross, carrying the weight of the world's sin. So, why would Jesus do such a thing? Because the Lord loved us and wanted us to be what he is: the righteousness of God. The great truth of Jesus coming to earth is that God loved us more than he hated sin (John 3:16-17). As God, Jesus entered our world of sin and death to demonstrate God's love for all people, then gave himself to make us God's righteousness. Praise God for his gift, a gift that is too great for words to describe adequately!
Almighty and loving Father, thank you for making me holy — your righteousness — and doing that by the sacrifice of Jesus. Thank you, dear Savior, for paying such a horrible price, not just by dying on the cross but also by becoming my sin and carrying away my guilt.
It's a great privilege to know Jesus Christ.
Get right with God. The Holy Spirit will show you how. Right now. Right where you are.

Remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.—James 5:20
When someone wanders from God's path, let's not take their rebellion frivolously. God has given us the tremendous blessing of carrying on the work of our Savior, Jesus, who came to seek and save the lost (Mark 10:45; Luke 10:10). Jesus calls us to help the wayward return home to the Savior and go find those who are lost and return them to the Savior (Matthew 18:10-14; Luke 15:1-32).
Gracious Father, please be with those I love who are living in rebellion against you. Use me to be your agent of restoration to bring them home to you and help them discover your grace, mercy, and forgiveness. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
I acknowledge the presence of our Lord in this place. Come into my heart and abide in me!

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. —1 John 5:13
Yes, we can KNOW we have eternal life! Don't settle for less!! Confidence is so crucial that God sent his Son to die and be raised so we could know that eternal life with Jesus is our destination, not just our journey. While that eternal life begins and is experienced now (John 5:24), what we experience here is only a hint, a foretaste, of what lies ahead in our glorious and eternal future with the Lord Jesus.
Thank you, heavenly Father, for your plan of salvation and the cost you paid to make it happen. Thank you for giving me confidence now in my eternal future with you as your child. Thank you for heaven, hope, and my home with you forever. To you belong all the glory and praise, and I pray in your name, Lord Jesus. Amen.
Choose ye today where you will spend eternity. It is your choice. In Jesus' name.
God loves you, and so do I.

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.—Matthew 5:16
As Christians, we are not called to isolate ourselves from culture. We are not called to be hermits detached from the lost world around us. Instead, we are to recognize that we are in this world of darkness to live as light — not as little candles tucked away in some inner bedroom, but as bright lights set on their stands so all can see their light. As Jesus' disciples, we are called to be a city on a hill whose lights can't be hidden. Of course, our goal is not to call attention to ourselves but to help others see the glorious grace of our Father so they will come to Jesus, who is the one, true Light of the World!
Dear Heavenly Father, may my life bless others so they can see you and your love more clearly. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Jesus is the light for this world. And we are the vessel He uses to shine bright, so the whole world can see. Shine bright, beloved of God.
God loves you, and so do I.

For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. —1 Thessalonians 5:9-10
God didn't save us to condemn us (John 3:17). No, he saved us so we could come home to him and enjoy his gracious presence for all eternity. God wants us in his presence; that's what salvation is all about. He is not about to let anything keep us from that presence when our hearts belong to him. We are all headed home to our Father so that "we may live together with him" — whether we are awake (by that he means alive) or whether we have fallen asleep in Jesus (by that he means dead in Christ) — we're going to live together with him, forever!
Loving Father, thank you for my confidence in Jesus! I know that whether I live till Jesus comes or if I were to die this very day, I can have confidence that my future is with you because it is tied to Jesus' victory over sin, death, and hell. Thank you for giving me a home with you as my ultimate future. In Jesus' name, I thank and praise you. Amen

And hope does not disappoint us because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. —Romans 5:5
The source of our hope is not just in Jesus' prior work on the Cross and in the empty tomb as he "who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel" (2 Timothy 1:10). Our hope isn't dependent upon our own will-power and commitment to hang on to hope — although, at times, we need these virtues. No, God made sure the burning fire of vibrant hope would never run out of fuel in our hearts. He did this by filling us with his Holy Spirit and pouring his love into our hearts. That same Spirit Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead will also raise us up and give us life when Jesus returns (Romans 8:11).
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you so much for the gift of your Holy Spirit who keeps my hope alive, fills me with a sense of your loving presence, empowers me to live for Jesus, and is interceding for me now as I pray. May my life consistently display my confidence in your love by sharing your kindness with others because of my hope in Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.
The borrowed tomb where I Savior was laid is empty. For He has risen.
God loves you, and so do I.
Deacon.
Happy, wonderful Saturday, and have a marvelous weekend. Beloved of our God.
