Our tour includes a 04-day porcelain painting class at the prestigious porcelain manufacturer in Fürstenberg in the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. Since the founding in 1747, the name has stood for unique craftsmanship and exclusive manufacturer’s porcelain. Over the course of time, renowned designers, modelers and porcelain painters have shaped the history of the manufactory founded by Duke Carl I. of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. We will visit this manufacturer in Fürstenberg as well as smaller traditional porcelain manufacturers in Franconia and Thuringia. Porcelain Painting Tour to Austria and Germany including painting with the Kugelmeiers. May 17 to 30, 2017. Join us for “Porcelain Art & Beyond” starting in beautiful Vienna, Austria. Spend 5 nights in Austria visiting Vienna and the charming towns of Melk and Salzburg. Then travel to scenic Black Forest in Lenggries, Germany for 4 days of painting class with Jörg and Petra Kugelmeier in their studio. Spend the last two days in Munich including the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory.

We have an exciting itinerary for non-painters which may include the spectacular Neuschwanstein Castle, Linderhof Palace, the Alps, a local brewery and small villages. Be sure to ask friends and family to come along.

Only 3 spots open for painting class and non-painters are welcomed to join the tour. A special itinerary will be planned for them while the painters are in class.

Please share!! Marfa in the spring!! I am excited to work with Houston artist and our tour guide Michael Macedo Meazell on exciting art tours to Marfa, Texas this spring. These 4 day/3night weekend trips offer an in-depth tour of the little hamlet attracting artists and visitors from around the world. We’ll visit the installations at the Chinati Foundation, visit small galleries and get inside the studios of local artists. The tour includes Prada Marfa, Ballroom Marfa as well as the McDonald Observatory and the famous Marfa Lights!. Our small group of 10-12 will stay at the award winning St. George Hotel and enjoy the convenience of a private mini bus and driver. Some meals are included and entrance to all the sites. Does not include flight to El Paso where we meet the bus. Dates are March 30-April 2, 2017 or April 6-9, 2017 or April 27-30, 2017. June dates available also. $1350 per person double occupancy. The flower carts at the Festa San Pardo In Larino. All ox drawn, 130 of them covered in handmade paper flowers parade through town.
