Our tour includes a 04-day porcelain painting class at the prestigious porcelain manufacturer in Fürstenberg in the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. Please share!! Marfa in the spring!! I am excited to work with Houston artist and our tour guide Michael Macedo Meazell on exciting art tours to Marfa, Texas this spring. These 4 day/3night weekend trips offer an in-depth tour of the little hamlet attracting artists and visitors from around the world. We’ll visit the installations at the Chinati Foundation, visit small galleries and get inside the studios of local artists. The tour includes Prada Marfa, Ballroom Marfa as well as the McDonald Observatory and the famous Marfa Lights!. Our small group of 10-12 will stay at the award winning St. George Hotel and enjoy the convenience of a private mini bus and driver. Some meals are included and entrance to all the sites. The flower carts at the Festa San Pardo In Larino. All ox drawn, 130 of them covered in handmade paper flowers parade through town. For our trip in May we have added a stop in the beautiful cave-city of Matera. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this hidden gem of a city features the unusual sassi, stone houses carved out of the caves climbing up its cliffs. The labyrinth of streets and alleys promise a surprise at every corner. These caves have been inhabited since Paleolithic times and are believed to be among the first ever human settlements in Italy. We'll visit local artisans and enjoy lunch here.

Our good friend Gisella Isidori and I are doing a tour to Italy and you need to come along! Apulia and Molise: The Roads Less Traveled with a focus on the history, culture and cuisine of these two less traveled regions. Situated along the east coast of Italy these regions hug the Adriatic Sea and are blessed with fertile agricultural lands, cooling sea breezes and breathtaking landscapes. Our small group will experience a number of colorful local festivals, learn the regions’ interesting histories, visit artisan craftsmen, join an ancient and traditional cattle drive from winter to mountainous summer pastures and of course, taste the local foods and wines. COME TO ITALY WITH ME!! We have 2 spots left for our exciting Tour to Piedmont in late September. Spend 10 days with Chef Gabriella V***a and me enjoying this bountiful region known for coffee, chocolate, white truffles and big red wines like Barolo and Barbaresco.

We begin in Turin for 2 nights exploring this historic and lively city famous for its coffeehouses and hand crafted chocolates. Egyptian Museum and National Automobile Museum. We will tour the Savoy family palace and then head west to a wonderful family farm for 3 nights. The family grows apples and kiwis and has olive trees...a rarity in this area. Our time here includes a day trip to the Fortress Fenestrelle and the charming town of Usseaux at the base of the French Alps. We'll have a cooking lesson on the farm and enjoy regional specialities like fritto misto, risotto and panettone

Then we head east for 3 more nights at a charming b&b in the beautiful wine region....the Langhe Valley.... and the village of Treiso. Here we'll explore the cities of Alba and Asti and visit wineries in this area. And we'll have another cooking lesson here. Finally, back to Turin for one last night before heading home.

Just back from Ottawa and the Rideau Guild Porcelain Arts Conference. Tulip Festival and tulips everywhere! Incredible porcelain artists. My first time in Canada and already planning to return. LOVED it!!
