As per Noticias Ponce and El Nuevo Dia:
‘The Icon of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world operated by Royal Caribbean, has three stops scheduled in the Port of Ponce.
The official dates of the visits will be May 7, June 11 and June 25, 2025, representing an estimated economic impact of $1.5 million for the southern region.’

El Icon of the Seas, el crucero más grande del mundo operado por Royal Caribbean, tiene programadas tres escalas en el Puerto de Ponce.

Las fechas oficiales de las visitas serán el 7 de mayo, el 11 de junio y el 25 de junio de 2025, representando un impacto económico estimado de $1.5 millones para la región sur.’

What an amazing road trip yesterday!! Grateful to our local Tour guides Lilly and Fernán 🫶😉
We headed out NW to find ‘Pozo de Jacinto’ in Isabela. According to Legend a farmer named Jacinto fell into the well with his cow. Since then, it is said that if you shout “Jacinto, give me the cow” at the mouth of the sea well, the sea becomes angry and agitated. 😳😮

On our way there we stopped at the Face of the Taino Cacique Rock🇵🇷
According to ‘Atlas Obscura: La Cara del Indio is a roadside sculpture that welcomes visitors to the city of Isabela and the Portal del Sol in the west region. Known as the “Indian’s face” in Spanish, the sculpture is a monument dedicated to Cacique Mabodamaca, a Taíno chief that fought against the Spaniards in 1511 and died during the battle.’
Our 3rd stop was on the coastal area of Jobos because the views are just amazing.
On the way back we checked out Downtown Isabela. In Hatillo we stopped at Sardinera Beach and ended our Adventure day eating dinner romeo.gastrobar One of my absolute favorite Restaurants in Arecibo 💕

Our road trip return route, from Coamo to Arecibo through mountain roads. So majestic! During the full trip we made four stops; experienced Puerto Rican Chinchorreo 😉🤩 and drove by a total of 21 towns. Left the house at 10am and made it back by 6:30pm. It was an amazing road trip. So grateful to Lilly and Fernán for planning it and showing us how it’s done! ✅
