ROPE’s undergraduate backpacking trip this midterm recess was not without its challenges, but this group still managed to have a good time! They backpacked over 20 miles through the Kiamichi Wilderness over three days, meandering between following the Kiamichi River at climbing to elevated views.

Our Story

ROPE is an outdoor adventure program and service of the Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center. We work to provide the Rice University community opportunities to explore the outdoors, relax, and disconnect from our busy lives. The Outdoor Adventure Center provides outdoor gear rental services to members of our facility. ROPE Outdoor Adventure Trips are available to all members of the Rice University Community.
