“I loved the locations we had our ceremony and reception at. The ocean was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and I loved hearing the waves crash during our vows. I also loved the terrace for our reception. It was an ideal location that felt secluded enough from the rest of the resort, but still close to the beach.” We agree Vanessa and Nick! Modern Destinations was great to work with! They took the time to have phone meetings, answer emails & always give as much information they could. They were very patient in the beginning process when trying to find what destination I wanted to pick & provided detailed information about each hotel, communicated directly with hotel, & relayed any information back to me! I couldn’t have done it without them. Then when it was time for guests to book, I got great feedback from guests how easy the process was. It is hard to decide what my favorite memory from our destination wedding was as the entire thing was true perfection. The booking process was very easy for my guests thanks to the Modern Destination Staff. The resort was absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The Hyatt Ziva Cancun staff was very welcoming and accommodating to the amount of guests we had. The day of the wedding went very smoothly, seriously not one thing went wrong. Lastly, it was unforgettable having all your closest friends and families to celebrate for not just one night but multiple days. We all had an absolute blast! - Karsyn & Angel

We had a great experience working with destination weddings! Everyone was nice and patient with us. We didn’t have any issues with transportation or accommodations. We ended up having close to 80 guests that booked with us at the resort. They also helped us with a site visit at a discounted price and transportation as well. Also they were helpful with texting and calling our guests with updates and deadlines so we didn’t have to get involved which was great. Fereshta and Itzel helped us with chosing our resort and date and venue at the resort! Again, they were very nice and patient with us. - Jenna and Taylor

Pro Tip: The day after your wedding, take a trip to a cenote and have a photo shoot. With less time constraints, our bride Jenna said she felt more relaxed and had a great time with her new husband Taylor on this incredible photo session!

Tell us about your experience working with Modern Destination Weddings:

We can't recommend Modern Destination enough. Our contacts Kendyll and Itzel were extremely responsive and courteous, from beginning to end. They were always willing to jump on a call to talk things through and gave us the assurances we needed every step of the way. Our destination wedding journey was somewhat atypical from what you would expect. We fully anticipated getting married in Punta Cana this year, but mother nature had other plans. Due to hurricane fiona and its impact in the Caribbean, our wedding venue closed indefinitely. We were notified of this change just two weeks before we were scheduled to get married. It was such a stressful time and there is no way we could've handled this massive disruption in wedding plans without the dedicated help and constant communication from Kendyll and the team at Modern Destination. Most of our guests were able to make the change in their travel plans and timing and that was largely due to the coordination, communication and flexibility that Modern Destination provided during that time. We distinctly remember hearing from guests how helpful and attentive their travel agents were in rebooking flights and hotels. We're fully convinced the process to find a new venue (in less than a month) and rebook our wedding guests would not have been possible without Modern Destination. They handled the logistics, responded to guests' questions, and fought on our behalf to ensure guests’ room rates were honored so that we could focus on working with the new hotel and vendors. We both believe everything happens for a reason. Our wedding in Mexico was magical and we are so appreciative of Modern Destination's help in getting our loved ones to Mexico for our special day. We can't thank you all enough!!
