A new law was implemented last year with insurance companies. You can register with envoyamerica.com and if you need these services, insurance can pay for these transportation trips.
You basically call insurance company and say you need a ride to XYZ and you prefer to use Envoy America. They will in turn set up the requested time and a driver. If you get to know your driver and like them, you can put them on request as well.
The drivers are vetted with a detailed criminal background check, trained in CPR and First Aide and most have experience in transporting elderly with special needs (ie walker, cane, rolling two wheeled walkers, rollators, light weight wheelchairs and can transfer from wheelchair to vehicle and back.
Financially and time wise, this is a game changer for most families whom do not know about this wonderful service.
