It's one of those bucket list dreams that's often mused about around a campfire or a bucket of beers. Sure, it's fun to talk about quitting your job, leaving your home, family, and friends to go walk over 2,000 miles through the mountains of Appalachia, but who really has the time to do it? Who can really walk away from everything to essentially become homeless, and yet be perfectly self sufficien

t for months at a time in forests that never seem to end? We posed these questions to ourselves over the past year, and realized, that although we don't know if we have what it takes to weather what the mountains give us, we sure do have the guts to give it a try. Goodbye bills and income. Goodbye full bellies and warm beds. We're off to Appalachia.
