FAQ's
Q: Do have to disassemble my firearm before you coat it? A: No, but under most circumstances, we will charge from $50.00 - $100.00 (depending on each firearm) for disassembly/assembly and the turnaround time could be a bit longer.

Q: Does it cost more for multiple colors, special designs, camo or special colors? We prefer you discuss your choices with us so that we can give you an accurate estimate. Custom coatings are dependent upon the request, as to the cost of the job. Every job is unique and will be charged fairly and appropriately.

Q: What is your turnaround time? A: Normally, it takes about 1-2 weeks, depending on our customer work load and the number of guns, knives, scopes, etc. We will keep you apprised of any unforeseen delays.

Q: Is Cerakote the only coating materials you use? Cerakote surpasses any other coating on the market today. Check our website for comparisons to other manufacturers of gun coating products.

Q: Can you powder coat my weapons? A: Yes and No. We also do powder coating but because powder coating requires temps up to 400 degrees, many items cannot withstand the heat. Although powder coating is 10 times more durable than paint, we recommend ceramic coating of fi****ms due to its low tolerances and vast durability properties.

Q: Is Cerakote only for fi****ms? A: No. We use Cerakote ceramic to coat knives, swords, auto/motorcycle parts pistons, industrial parts, farming items, marine accessories and almost anything you need coated for rust protection. We are so diversified, we can coat almost any material, i.e., wood, plastic, metal, etc. Cerakote products allow us to coat items that are heat sensitive, so as not to ruin the item being coated and with state of the art rust prevention and durability. Q: Do you have a warranty/guarantee? A: Please check our warranty section on our website.

Q: How do we contact you for an estimate? A: You can either e-mail us or pick up the phone and call us. We recommend that if you e-mail us, photos are helpful in making a more accurate estimate, especially if you are unable to personally meet with us. Personal inspection of your weapon(s), is always the best method.

Q: Can I drop by your shop or do I need to make an appointment? A: You will have to make an appointment with us since we schedule coating customer parts on a daily basis and unable to interrupt the coating process in order to ensure estimated turnaround times and perfection.

Q: Can I ship my firearm to you? Please visit the shipping section of our website for details. If you should have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.

More About Cerakote Products
Cerakote is a ceramic based finish designed specifically for use on fi****ms. Cerakote is resistant to: harsh chemicals, high temperatures, abrasion, impacts, flexing, and corrosion. Cerakote’s ceramic is applied as a very thin film builds of without sacrificing durability. Cerakote can be applied for close tolerance areas of your firearm without interfering with its operation, as opposed to other fi****ms coatings. Cerakote contains self lubricating abilities. Therefore, it can be applied to the moving parts of the firearm without interference. Cerakote can be applied to both metal and composite materials with consistent results in both appearance and durability.

Cerakote can also be applied in an air cure formula. This can be used in refinishing scopes, binoculars and other heat sensitive parts.

Our coating process includes a unique pretreatment process to prep your parts before the coating process begins. This improves the adhesion of the Cerakote finish that ensures extra protection against rust and corrosion. We carry all of the Cerakote colors currently produced by NIC Industries. If you need a rare color or finish to fit your needs, we can provide you with a custom blend to make an unlimited combination of custom colors!
