Onboard the AmaMagna you will find a small cinema. It is beautifully decorated! You can come in throughout the day and watch movies, play video games or listen to music. We hosted a Virtuoso Private Welcome Reception here and it was the perfect size.

Dinner our 1st night onboard the AmaMagna was at Jimmy's Wine Bar & Restaurant. Great atmosphere and restaurant. They serve the same food as in the Main Dining but served family style. Prime rib was delicious! Fun place!

Beer Gardens are very popular in Munich not only for the beer and food but for socializing and camaraderie. The beer gardens have long tables and you share tables with others that come. If the tables have tablecloths on them you can order food and will be served by waiters. If no tablecloth, you can pick up food from the nearby markets and bring it to the table. But the beer must be purchased at the garden. There is often music played with more traditional during the day and turning more popular at night. You will see many wearing traditional old-style german outfits, even today. There are usually large trees around the gardens supplying nice shade. It is a wonderful festive environment!

Some interesting facts about Munich. It is very well known for its' beer. The pubs are very different than what we have in the states. Rather than going in a pub and tasting one of each of the main brands, each brand has its' own name and own pubs. Different variations of that main beer are served at the pub. The size and shape of the glass differs according to what is best to air the type of beer being served. There are 6 major brands in Munich with one, Hofbrau, being owned by the state. Augustiner is another. And Bavaria's Beer Purity Law which has existed for over 500 years allows only 3 ingredients in Bararian beer; barley, hops and water. No artificial flavorings or other ingredients in these beer. The differences in each type varies depending upon how each of these ingredients are used. Octoberfest is a great time to check these out!

Arrived in Munich. Nice way to start getting picked up at airport by a private driver in a Mercedes. And air-conditioned seats! And I am in Texas. How did not know they have those now?
They hotel is beautiful. Many celebrities and politicians have stayed here. Including Michael Jackson
After he died fans builta memorial for him in front of our hotel. They are allowed to keep it as long as they continue to keep it clean and nice.
