For almost 10 years Avon Hill Lodge has offered a unique getaway, close to the heart of Virginia wine country. Tucked away in the rolling hills of Nelson County, the property has served as an exclusive vacation destination or retreat for both families, groups, and businesses. 28 miles south of Charlottesville, The Lodge provides a serene escape with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. the Avon Hill estate is made up of 100 tree lined acres along the Rockfish River, over five acres of English and American Boxwoods, 4 lodging spaces, a pool, and as of 2019, an event barn. With the addition of Bruce’s Barn, Avon Hill Lodge can host private events for 150 and makes the perfect setting for your destination wedding. The Avon Hill estate offers unprecedented access to local Charlottesville attractions, while maintaining its serene and peaceful countryside setting. We are so excited to welcome Jocelyn and Austin to the Avon Hill family as our new Property Managers! You may recognize their faces from their recent wedding 🎉 or from around the property while they trained this year. Jocelyn has also been helping with weddings all year!
J+A come with a wealth of experiences and skills and we’re so excited for them to hit the ground running. They join us with their three dogs, Alex, Blue, and Ghost! 🐶🐶🐶

This week we say goodbye to the Salees as they move onto their next chapter in life. Mark and Susan joined us in 2017 when Bruce’s Barn was a shell and our business was just starting off. Over the next six years they were instrumental in getting us to where we are today. We are forever grateful for their incredible hard work, dedication to our goals as a business, commitment to our guests’ experience, and loving friendship. They came as acquaintances and leave as family. We will miss them dearly and wish them the best of luck in their next adventure!
