2025 fishing guides are here from Indiana DNR Division of Fish and Wildlife & that means Trout Season is just around the corner! Who is coming to spend opening weekend with us in April?? Reservations open next week, Monday 2/10 & we can’t wait to kick off the 2025 season with everyone!

Andy was recognized last week for his time as President of the LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. In between his dedicated work at both of our businesses - the Trading Post & Mongo General Store - he actively serves our community in a number of ways. We couldn't be more proud of this guy! Today is the recognized day of mourning for our 39th President, Jimmy Carter. A man who loved rivers & fought for this country's natural resources not just during his time in office but throughout his entire life. He will be truly missed & his legacy will live on forever, especially in the hearts of those who admire rivers & outdoor spaces.

Jimmy Carter loved rivers. He grew up fishing as a child in Georgia, and later in life became an avid paddler. As Governor of Georgia, Carter was instrumental in securing protections for the Chattahoochee River. As President, he played a key role in strengthening the National Wild and Scenic Rivers....

The new year has meant a new look for Nasby Dam! Construction is almost entirely complete for the updates that began in September 2024. We love the January snow, but are excited to see these changes from the water once Spring rolls around! 🛶❄️

Andy and Jess did some pheasant hunting recently in the Pigeon River Fish & Wildlife Area. Thanks to NWTF-Three Rivers Chapter for teaching and guiding. We are still discovering the many opportunities in our small community.
