Sharing a throwback picture from a few summers ago☺️ Grant and I travelled up to Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan and my dad happened to be there doing some work so we met up with him and he took us for a little ride in the dunes. We got to have a nice couple hours with him💙 Every summer growing up, my dad took my sister and I to the dunes. As an adult, I rarely make it up there so it was really nice to go up there and what a surprise it was to see my dad🫶🏻

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there, especially all the fathers I am so lucky to have in my life! Appreciate all of you so much!!

Did you know that today is National Donut Day? Mmmmm I love me some good donuts!😋 When I was in Las Vegas a couple months ago, I had some of the best donuts from Pinkbox💕 I highly recommend if you find yourself in Vegas! I also love that some of the locations are open 24 hours😅🤤

There are so many cool things to see and do in Vegas and I’m happy I got to spend so much time exploring and trying all the different foods and desserts😋

Sending my wonderful clients off to explore the enchanting streets of Curaçao this week!

In celebration of their adventure, let me share a couple of interesting insights about Curaçao that you may not know:

1. Curaçao is a paradise for divers and snorkelers, boasting some of the most spectacular coral reefs in the Caribbean. The island is surrounded by crystal-clear waters teeming with vibrant marine life, including colorful fish, sea turtles, and coral formations🐠
2. Curaçao is home to one of the largest ostrich farms outside of Africa. Visitors can tour the farm, learn about ostrich breeding and conservation efforts, and even have the opportunity to ride an ostrich😋
3. Curaçao is the birthplace of the famous blue liqueur that bears its name. Blue Curaçao is made from the dried peels of the laraha fruit, which is native to the island. The liqueur is used in many tropical cocktails and is renowned for its vibrant blue color💙

If it’s your first time in Costa Rica, here are my recommendations:

Stay: For a first trip, Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa or Arenal Springs Resort & Spa is perfect because both offer a luxurious experience nestled in the lush rainforest with stunning views of the Arenal Volcano, as well as access to hot springs and exceptional service that will make your stay unforgettable🌿🌸

Eat: You have to try gallo pinto and casado at Soda Viquez in La Fortuna because it's the best place to get a taste of Costa Rica. Their authentic flavors and cozy atmosphere provide a true Costa Rican dining experience🤤

Do: I don’t recommend trying to fit everything in Costa Rica into one trip. I recommend taking your time so you can truly enjoy, and for that reason, I recommend narrowing your focus on 2 main areas to explore — I recommend exploring Arenal Volcano National Park for a few days and then making your way down to Manuel Antonio, these two spots are great for a first-timer. Both offer unique opportunities to see the country's incredible biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes🐵

As you can tell, I love Costa Rica, so if you ever have any questions about visiting, don’t hesitate to reach out and don't forget to save this for later💙💚

Nobody talks about the customer service limbo you can end up in when you choose to book your trip yourself online.

There’s another way!

When you plan and book your trips with me you’re not only getting a trip that’s custom to you, you’re also getting 10/10 customer service.

❌ No 1-800 number.

❌ No stress if travel plans need to change.

❌ No need to be passed around like a hockey puck from the booking site’s customer service line to the airline and back to the booking site.

Bottom line: customer service limbo just isn’t where you want to be when you find yourself in need of help on a getaway.

My absolute favorite thing about traveling is the wildlife!!🫎

If you ever travel to Denali National Park in Alaska, you are almost guaranteed to see some kind of wildlife!! Moose are everywhere!! You can also see ptarmigans, porcupines, caribou, sheep, bear and occasionally a wolf if you’re lucky🐺

No matter how cute any of the wildlife look, make sure you keep the recommended distance!! They do not mess around, especially moose, they are extremely aggressive!🙃

The napper- Your head hits a pillow, and you’re napping from the moment the car starts until you get to the destination.😴

We kayaked, hiked, canoed, and looked for rocks on Lake Superior’s shores. It was definitely one of my favorite trips☺️

Is it cheaper to book your trips online than working with a travel agent?

I thought I’d address this today because it surprises me that there’s still a misconception that working with a travel agent is more expensive.

But It really depends.

➡️ There are times when the pricing and offers you’ll get by booking with me are miles better than what you’ll find online.

I have access to special pricing on all-inclusive resorts, hotels and cruises through my network and have saved my clients money as a result.

➡️ There are times when pricing will be comparable.

But don’t forget that when you book online, you’re doing all of the planning yourself (10-20 hours of your time at minimum), so is it really cheaper when you factor in the cost of your time?

➡️ There are times when you’ll find better pricing online

But remember, when you’re booking yourself, you’re also responsible for vetting that deal, reading the fine print, and dealing with the 1-800 number if something goes wrong.

Summer 2024 trip inspiration ☀️

What are the best islands for summer getaways to the Caribbean? It’s hard to choose favorites. There are so many things to see and do on every island, but these three are my particular favorites during the summer months😉👇🏻

Jamaica - Spend a week exploring the vibrant culture of Kingston, relaxing on the stunning beaches of Negril, and hiking through the lush Blue Mountains🌿

Barbados - I always book snorkeling adventures at Carlisle Bay and catamaran cruises along the coastline for my clients, and they come home raving about it🐠

St. Lucia - Climbing the iconic Pitons in Soufrière is a must-do in the Caribbean🌸

Just booked!!🥳🥳

4 more Alaskan adventures in 2025🦋 one family will be spending 7 nights on land getting to explore all around Denali and going down to the Kenai Peninsula, followed by a 7 night cruise stopping at 5 ports and cruising through Glacier Bay and Hubbard glacier🤩 And I helped a group of couple friends secure an Alaskan cruise/ land tour as well!! Stopping in Denali and taking a beautiful train down to board a 7 night cruise💙

I helped them pick an itinerary that best fits their wants and needs and helped to narrow down the hundreds of options that can be very overwhelming for people that have never experienced Alaska or cruising before.
