Join cyclists of all ages and abilities in Humboldt, Kansas as we celebrate the start of the holiday season and reconnect with the pure joy of riding a bike! This Black Friday, gather your friends, neighbors, relatives and church, club and organization members and choose a healthy activity to help burn off some holiday meal calories, and start your New Year's resolution early to get active! day November 26, 2021, from 5-7 pm in Humboldt, cyclists (and pedestrians, and scooters, and trikes!) engage in a skating rink-rink style ride around Humboldt's Christmas decorated historic square and bandstand. The ride course is separated from vehicle traffic so riders can more safely concentrate on socializing as they ride, and less experienced and less confident riders can ride without the stress of vehicle traffic. This is NOT a competition, so ride around as many times, or as few times, as YOU wish, and at your own pace. It's late November, so dress for warmth and style and not for speed. Decorate your bike with festive lights; wear your ugliest Christmas sweater; mount your reindeer antlers and participate in a growing tradition you'll remember and want to do again next year. Arrive early in the day to enjoy all Humboldt has to offer and learn what's soon coming to plan a return trip. Visit Humboldt's growing downtown merchants, the South Wind Rail Trail and Base Camp.

The recently resurfaced asphalt road is smooth and well lit with new streetlights. A striking display of American flags salutes riders as they ride and chat away stress. Humboldt's historic square and bandstand will be lit with dozens of seasonal trees and decorations. Humboldt's vibrant and growing downtown businesses will remain open for warmth and for treats and gift shopping.
