Old Vermillion pool updates underway.

New doors, lighting, partitions, plumbing, sinks, toilets, fresh paint, exterior tile wall, replacement of rotted wood, etc., all scheduled to be ready for pool opening next month.

**Help Needed This Sunday**

The balance of our pool furniture for the 2nd pool that opened last year is coming in this coming Sunday! In route from FL….

Looking for a a couple volunteers to help off load.

Pool #2 slated to open 5/1, no guards, maintenance only under the management of Acqua Tech that the HOA has contracted with after firing the last company.

Issues again with lights at entrances - when it rains outlets trip. Electrician called to diagnose and see if we can set up dedicated GFI / something waterproof for lights. They will be here Monday. HOA will work to reset GFIs in the meantime

The HOA is considering a full gut & remodel of both the men’s and women’s restrooms this off season at the pool on Old Vermillion.These are the original design and are 12 + years old. If you are LICENSED and INSURED (General Contractor, etc) and wish to provide a design and bid on the project please send an email to [email protected] with your contact information.

Regarding recent construction traffic update from Bowman Development:

We will notify trucks about speeding. Residents should call HPD about speeding as these are public roads. The town has shut down part of Huntersville Concord Rd which doesn’t allow us to haul down Holbrooks Rd and through downtown therefore we have to haul inside the neighborhood. The trucks are taking dirt from one Vermillion site to another. Once Huntersville Concord Rd is back open traffic should minimize within Vermillion.

HOA will be at a offsite meeting with Kuester Mgmt tonight. There will not be a meeting at the Bowman Dev offices at 630.

NEW POOL FURNITURE UPDATE

Per Swim Club Mgmt, furniture ships from manufacture in GA on the 18th.

We should have everything at the new pool by that weekend.

24 chairs

We’ll figure out umbrellas once all the tables have arrived. Additionally there is a permanent shade structure as part of the pool build to be installed. HOA wanted to wait for placement of that until furniture arrived.

Pool furniture ordered almost 13 weeks ago has been delayed due to manufacturing issues. We have been by told Swim Club Mgmt it will be up to 3 more weeks until arrival. Feel
free to bring a chair until then.

HOA is pleased to announce that Trippi McGlinn volunteered and will chair the Vermillion Social Committee going forward. Like most things around here we need more volunteers to help with our events so if you’re interested please reach out to Trippi.

New pool slated to open 6/4, waiting on final inspection from Meck County. Furniture ordered 2.5 months ago is in transit per Swim Club Mgmt. Unfortunately not all of it, but the rest should follow shortly thereafter. If anything changes HOA will advise.

**Note - same fob works at both pools.

Thank you for a successful re-open this weekend. HOA has our monthly meeting Wed at 630 at Bowman Dev office. We plan to review again Swim Club Managements responsibilities in light of their staffing issues.

Plumber on-site now to fix bathroom issues

Spectrum cable coming out this afternoon to fix wifi / network

Swim Club cleaning pool, all pump equipment functional

Powerwashing company will be out all day Friday. They will clean:

**10AM - 8PM daily starting Saturday 5/21**

Swim at you own risk when there are no lifeguards on duty.

REMINDERS:

NO GLASS at pool. HOA will shut down the pool if residents bring glass to pool, no exceptions, don’t bring it.

FOUNTAINS - will be turned on during open and turned off at close. Do not ask SCM to turn them off.

5/16 Pool Update

We have had several conversations and emails exchanged with Swim Club Mgmt Leaders and Kuester Management.

Several board members were at the pool today prepping for our re-opening. We have staged furniture and did other prep work. The pool pump is back functioning and the pool loaded with salt. That should clear up any previous issues.

Immediate next steps are:

Old Vermillion Pool
1) Powerwash pool deck, bathrooms, cabana areas. We are contracting with a local company.

2) Re-establish opening and closing duties handled by Swim Club Mgmt.

3) Send email, confirm hours and dates with and without guards, post new opening date.

New Pool
1) Confirm Re-inspection date (due to concrete issue)

2) Confirm status of furniture order / delivery date. Worst case we open with bring your own chair. Furniture ordered Loungers (45), Tables (6), Chairs (24). Grey w blue accent stripes.

3) Confirm open date.

4) Landscaping still underway from developer. Sod and irrigation slated to be completed soon.

We hope to re- open the Old Vermillion pool again this week, clean and ready for the 2022 season.

We are aware the pool area was not properly cleaned for this weekends opening. This should have been part of Swim Club Managements opening package. HOA will coordinate this week to have the pool deck, bathrooms, etc cleaned.

Landscaping crews will be in the neighborhood starting the annual mulching of common areas and HOA maintained street trees. Please be cautious of the crew. Mulch located in pool parking lot. Thank you…

Crews on-site today and tomorrow installing Holiday decorations. The company will be utilizing commercial lighting this year at the entrances.

Landscapers are behind with weekly mowing due to last week’s rain that pushed them back. All common area will be mowed Wed / Thur this week.

If you BRING GLASS to the pool the HOA will shut the pool down. Glass is strictly prohibited especially as we start the next couple of weeks without guards during the week.
