Renny is a celebrity makeup artist. His talent is unexplainable (go check out his page). He’s a Christian and always gives the glory to God. When I say he BEATS faces DOWN! Hunny...he SLAYS!!! Ok so now you get it.
I was extremely honored to be able to meet and chat with him. It’s so crazy how God works. Whenever I’m feeling lost in my talents, not knowing which direction to go...I pray and God sends the reminder and push I need to keep going! Thank you Renny for letting God use you!

For today’s Quick Tip Tuesday, we are focusing on one of my favorite products, concealer! I think everyone needs a good concealer, whether it be a cream or liquid. I can't hold my tongue any more. As a makeup artist and a beauty blogger, I have a duty to speak up. In the beauty community, we have come a long way. 2017 was a GREAT year in terms of inclusivity and many mainstream brands realizing that brown girls buy makeup too. Your makeup tools are just as important as your makeup products. Proper sanitation of the tools is even more important. After all, we want the cleanest of brushes/sponges/puffs touching our face. A lot of people tend to overlook sanitation when a tool is “new.” They assume that because it’s new, it’s clean. That, my gorgeous friend, is not true. Recently in one of my makeup groups, we discussed "Instagram makeup" or "cake face," as some like to call it. Basically, it is very heavy, DETECTABLE makeup. In our discussion, we went on to share stories of clients who specifically ask for heavy makeup. Clients who want to SEE their foundation sitting on their face. We were all quite baffled. There were two ways that we saw this working out - give the client what they want OR stay true to our aesthetic and allow the client to find another artist who doesn't mind providing the "cake face" look.
