Hey folks. Some FYI. Lately I have been inundated with calls, texts and messages regarding animals I still have and working on. Unfortunately, cell phones work great at first and slowly and mysteriously lose service. That said the number of messages I am recieving I do not get until I'm in or around town. I am seeing calls and voicemails I'm missing for days. I am not ignoring anyone, but I simply am unable to sort through and respond to these as I don't know who some are and have no clue if I've answered to begin with. It's frustrating that I cannot get service when needed to update many that have reached out. Again, don't think I'm ignoring you guys, and feel free to reach out anytime, just know that I may or may not see that you have. I normally try to return missed calls, but I've also spent many hours being enticed to extend my truck warranty. That said if you have contacted me, the best way to reach me is text it seems, leave your name also that I know whom I'm responding to. Also be aware that I am living in the shop trying to get last season wrapped up but still got many deer to mount. I will certainly reach out when I'm done and your mount is ready. Hey all, I wanted to also give an update as to where I am with remaining deer mounts. As of today I still have 65ish more deer to go from last season. I've been non stop and still going. I'm having to skip around a bit because of backorders and a few supplies tough to acquire but for you guys waiting, it won't be too much longer. Just want to drop in here and wish everyone success and safety in the morning. Velvet is dropping and most bucks I've seen have already shed. If you're fortunate to harvest a velvet buck and wanting him mounted, be careful handling and get it in the shop as quickly as possible. It is looking like a promising year for BIG bucks and I hope you each harvest that once in a lifetime trophy. I had a good load of foam mannikins show up resulting in no delays for the remaining days of August through the month of September. Some Wednesday FYI. Things are moving along well in the shop. Bucks are being mounted daily and finished mounts are going out the door. That said, I just done a count as too what's left and looks like I have 72 more to go, not bad considering the number I took in last season. If you are yet waiting, I will be getting to you soon as I can, still a few backorders and such. Thank you for your patience and your trust in my abilities to preserve your hunting memories. Chris

Hey all. A pre season update as too what's happening at the shop. This year with rising costs, YES our mounts are going up some, unfortunately. Many know I was overtaken by the number of mounts taken in the last 2 seasons, and I sincerely I thank each one of you for trusting me with your taxidermy needs. I'm still working as hard as one man can to get everything caught up from last season but unfortunately, it will be after the first of the year it appears. That said, I am slacking down just a little this upcoming season. I will set a quota on deer taken this year as well as waterfowl. I also have a list of those I will not accept work from without cash payment ahead of time, I'm sorry but I cannot be fair to those willing to pick up mounts when I cannot collect promptly on others. I am always willing to " work" with folks because I too see difficult times. Also, this season you will be required to sign an existing work order agreeing to terms set forth by Dale's Taxidermy. Folks I know times are tough sometimes, however please consider I am doing a service for you and come out of pocket for many of the materials needed to complete your animal with sometimes having to wait months for payment, ( not often, or by many, but some ) I simply cannot continue this. I look forward too seeing you all this season and pray for your safety and success. thanks, Chris

Dear valued customers, I wanted to share that obtaining materials for taxidermy has been a challenge since 2020. However, I have managed to purchase today the necessary glass eyes and plastic earliners ( THE MOST OUT OF STOCK ITEMS) to complete the remaining 100 or so deer mounts, so that you guys won't experience more delay. To recover these unexpected costs, please if you would, pick up your mounts promptly upon notification. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Chris

I've been extremely busy and haven't posted much lately, but I'm happy to report that I'm making progress in the shop. I still have several deer to mount, but I promise to give each one the same attention to detail that I would my own. Some FYI, I appreciate your inquiries about deer and turnaround times. Since April, I have been committed to working on deer, but I also have a substantial workload ahead. As of today, the estimated completion time for all deer mounts is January or February. Some of you will be contacted by me shortly, while others will have a longer wait. I kindly request your patience as I strive to deliver your mounts as efficiently as possible and ensure the highest quality. I try too laugh at this. It's becoming a pattern and apparent that someone has too much time on their hands. This is becoming more common when I share photos of finished work. I promise this, I am the same person I was 30 years ago when I started Dale's Taxidermy Studio and still going strong. If you see a pic on this page rest assured that it was, is and will forevermore be my work, done by my hands but blessed by GODS hand. Some have asked why I have slacked posting pics, here is the reason.

Some FYI, I have structured new pricing for the 2024 season. Unfortunately, with material prices skyrocketing and shipping increases from all carriers I have no choice but to charge more for my services. 30 years into this journey and I cannot believe how, just the few past years have wreaked havoc on this trade. I will post new pricing soon. THIS HAS NO IMPACT ON MOUNTS TAKEN IN PRIOR TO JAN 1.

Saturday FYI. As of today, I am unable to take deer until Dec, 9th at least. If you have frozen deer please call to schedule it in that I can make the necessary room to properly store your capes. Sorry for the inconvenience but again, I have been blessed with many returning and new clients and filled up quickly. That said, I also have a few deer that have not been picked up and desperately need room to get started back with the mounting process. I try to be flexible and understanding, however these mounts have been around now for a few months an I need them gone asap. Please help ensure that everyone is treated equally and be prompt that I can have little to no down time for lack of space. Thanks, Chris

WEDNESDAY MORNING UPDATE. I am finishing up caping, storing hides in the freezers. As of today, I have room for possibly 5 more capes at most. We will take those and after, ask that you hold on to your frozen deer until I can free up space. I'm hoping to get back to mounting first of next week so delays won't be that long. We can still take European mounts in daily, Chris.

Post rifle season FYI. We are still wrapping up skinning, caping and storing hides from the last couple weeks. Our shop hours will return to normal, however if you have frozen deer I will be taking those by appointment. As of today I have freezer space for just a few more until I can get back to mounting. We can take in deer for europen mounts but again please call or text ahead to make sure I am available, Chris.

Good morning after. Today is the day that those big bucks will be standing in your yard and jumping out in front of your trucks. Another rifle season now has passed and I am blessed to have seen many old friends and make more new ones. The next few days I will be wrapping it up. Caping, storing, rearranging and recuperating from another epic season in the shop. To get to the point, first I want to give thanks to GOD. Secondly, you guys and ladies that have trusted me to preserve your trophies are what makes me succeed, and I thank you. I have tried to turn no one away and have taken another record number of deer to mount. Also, I have tried to give you folks an honest prediction as to how long before you will get back your deer, but circumstances can change this. I will begin this week working on remaining mounts from last season and hope to finish those up in the next couple to few months. My turn around times have suffered due to covid, supply issues and numbers. Many know me personally and can testify to time spent in shop trying to get your mounts back as quickly as possible. I ask for your patience at this time, and understand many want their mount back yesterday and I get it. Some of you will possibly be dropping off your next deer while picking up this year's. I will give my all to get to your mounts back as quickly as possible, but still give each the attention as if it were my own. I absolutely don't mind you guys occasionally reaching out for updates but please understand and allow me the time required to preserve your hunting memories.
