Next years Rally is scheduled with the Fairgrounds. Dates are October 11th -18th. Camping fees will remain the same. Going through everything and I'll know if PP costs will remain the same. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year. Will probably see some in Quartzsite. Follow the Quartzsite meetup all winter long at HDT'S in Quartzsite

Been a Very busy week! So how do you go about lining up 76 Big trucks 5 pickups a number of Jeeps and a whole Gaggle of Smart cars? Well with help of course. 2 on the lot, 2 chasing individual trucks, me on the balcony of the back of the Race track Grand stand along with the Photographer. Picking and choosing the colors and sizes. And 2 hours of time. And it only take 15 minutes to undo.

Well todays exercise in Rally setup involved hanging the screen, setting up AV stuff, sorting all the T shirts and name badges setting up Kitchen, making the Sams order, all things I cannot do by myself or with just Lisa's help. This really is a great Community so much help had Ladies washing tables, guys cleaning up popcorn in the auditorium left behind By the Good Sam rally last week. I again have to say Thank You to everyone for all your help! After Groceries tomorrow we should be in for an easy Friday.

Busy Day, got Keys for Fair Building, unloaded all the stuff out of the truck, ordered 70 pizza's, BBQ for 235, got the stuff out of storage, (Thank You for the help guys), started setting up things for this Rally. Oh and a 3 hour phone call in the middle. Business not pleasure. All in all a good day lots accomplished.

Gate #4 is open and I will have a key for it. So set your map for the Kansas state Fair Emcampment building and that should bring you in to Gate #4 if it's closed for some reason stop out there and honk.

Edited at the bottom....... NATIONAL HDT RALLY is less than 2 weeks away anyone looking at Google for directions should search Kansas State Fairgrounds Emcampment Building that will give directions to Gate #4 which is the best way in. Avoid coming in poplar as you will be trimming trees along a residential street. I know there are a couple of folks already there and a Good Sam rally this week. Let me know if your already there or when you will be coming in. I will be there Monday late afternoon. I don't know for sure they will leave the gate open after the Good Sam Rally. Feel free to message or call if you don't want your info here.my number can be found on the National HDT Rally page. Anyone coming in early can just hold on to your envelope and I'll turn in them all at once.

POPUP TOWING PRODUCTS, will have a person on site Tuesday and part of Wednesday doing complementary hitch inspections there will be a sign up sheet to take advantage of this service at check in. What they are proposing is this.

Look over misc. nuts, bolts and fasteners.

Check the condition of the shims and hardware on each side of the sled assembly

Inspecting clearances and bushing condition on horizontal suspension arms.

Inspect for excessive wear at head pivot points

Lubricate Jaw Block latch pin

Lubricate Jaw pivot points

Inspect bump-stop condition and fasteners

So the question has been asked of me about Pennsylvania DOT requirements to register and license a HDT in that State I have no advice. Anyone from Pennsylvania have a suggestion?

Directions to the State Fairgrounds Campground.
17th Street is a common reference on Google if you put in Kansas State Fairgrounds to bring you in on Poplar Street to Gate #1. I don't recommend this route its a residential street. Take 17th to either Plum on the east side of the Fairgrounds or Main on the west side. From 17th you will turn north on either one. Once on plum traveling north there is a stop light at State fair Road/23rd street turn west from plum onto State Fair Road you will find Gate #4 on the left (big sign for State Fair Campground) if turning onto main from 17th street turn north there are 2 chances to get into campground one is at 23rd and main at the firehouse turn right on north side of building that is Gate #3 once through gate turn left. If you miss Gate #3 continue up to 25th street/ State Fair Road (stop light) (tight turn take both lanes) turn right onto State Fair Road you'll see Gate #4 on your right. If you're coming in from 30th Street you'll go South on main or Plum. In the attached map 17th is the yellow line, plum is the green line, Main is the red line, poplar is the pink line, and State Fair Road is the blue line. 2 blue dots is the camp ground. If anyone has questions message me or call me.

Well we're a week out from the early bird deadline price goes up $10 PP this date will also end T shirt orders. While I will order extras they will be limited. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Due to a miss label on the website anyone that ordered a V neck t shirt will be getting a call from me in the next few days to determine if you wanted a mens cut or ladies cut or both I don't want to assume they are all Ladies cut due to some ordered 2 shirts.

One Month away from the "T"Shirt and early bird dead line. I will have a limited number of extra shirts printed, so get your orders in. Get registered and save a few dollars too August 15th is the deadline. Registration will remain open all the way through the National HDT Rally. But cost goes up $10 per Person. I am getting excited to see everyone.

Well registration is well underway we have about 60 so far, everyone is also camping so far. Lots of New to me Names and a good amount of seasoned veteran attendees. For those unaware there is plenty of space left. Early registration discount ends Aug 15. I also need to submit "T" Shirt orders then. Like previous years I will order some extras. I'll have an assortment of embroidered Hats available. The pink camo went over well last year as well as the green camo. Any of the ladies interested in a ponytail hat? Looking forward to seeing everyone it'll be here before you know it. Steve

Working on topics for the rally..... how many would be interested in a how to set up spread sheets and or how to track things on a spread sheet? This would be a hands on bring your laptop type seminar.this would be a bring your laptop hands on type thing.

Just passing on some info about the West Coast Rally if you're intrested in going sign up soon this sells out quickly.

The dates of the 2024 WCR are Monday June 10 through Monday June 17.

In order to register for the rally, contact Ambassador RV Resort directly at 888-877-8307 and make your site reservation for the rally dates and any additional days you would like to stay at the park. Once you have a site reservation, go to the HDTWCR.com website and complete the rally registration form here: https://hdtwcr.com/wcr-registration/

Rally registration will remain open until the park is full. If you intend to stay at another location (such as a hotel or a nearby RV park), you can go directly to the website and complete the registration form (indicate in the notes section where you will be staying).

If you plan to attend the rally and have an interest in presenting on a topic, I would be happy to have you. I will be working on the schedule for the next several months and am always happy to have new topics to present to attendees. Please contact me directly if you would like to present something to the group.

I am working on T-shirts and other outings. Once I have all of that lined up and ready for the group, all registered attendees will receive an email with a link to pay rally fees and order other items. This email will come some time in early 2024.

I also have to thank all the GREAT PEOPLE WHO HELPED ME PUT TOGETHER THE BEST RALLY YET! THAT INCLUDES, JACK MAYER, HIS LOVELY WIFE, DANIELLE, ROBERT SPRINGFIELD, HIS LOVELY WIFE HEIDI, THEIR 4 GREAT KIDS, DENISE PARKER, FOR HER FANTASTIC PICTURES AND VIDEOS, NEAL POPE, HIS AWESOME WIFE, DAWN POPE, ROD LAPPIN, DIANNE BOMBGARDENER, EVERYONE THAT HELPED CLEANUP AT THE END OF EACH EVENING JIM STEVENS FOR RUNNING ERRANDS, WARREN PAULING for coming up with a screen for movie nights and an awesome meter class, RICKY PARKER FOR ALL HE DOES, AND ALL THE REST WHO HELPED AND ENJOYED THE RALLY. For anyone wondering I have secured the campground and building for next year. The camping fees will remain unchanged at $24 a night. I am entertaining the idea of adding a day either moving registration to Saturday or adding Saturday on the end and leaving on Sunday. What says all the folks involved? Would you like another day? Also wondering if there is interest in having a Church Service on Sunday morning? I might be able to get Ricky to do one. I had the pleasure to witness one of Ricky's services in Texas last March. Also movie nights yes or no?
